batfam fans need to get comfortable with the idea of relationships btwn characters being highly ambiguous and uncertain real fast

#what is the purpose of liking a character if you strip them of everything that makes them interesting #cough cough jt #although jt has been such a midly written character in comics for so long i understand the desire to just mold him into whatever you want #and i understand dc is largely complicit in this also cough cough n52 #but the way batfam fans desire for a nuclear family dynamic between all these people who are all various levels of mentally unwell #with extremely complicated interpersonal relationships #is genuinely ridiculous to me #dami&dick especially… dick is not damis parent im sorry #yes its true that their circumstances paralleled that of dick and bruce when they were similar ages #but that does not mean dick is straight up just damians parent lol… its so much more interesting when hes in that weird in between space #but dc continues to prove itself boring by playing into this idea with nightwing 2016 #horrible comic btw #anyway whatever #fart
