If you are demisexual/romantic I'd love your thoughts.
I've dated three people in my life. All men, all for longer than 1.5 years. I'm 19 years old and bisexual. All of these people I was friends with beforehand. 1 for 2 years, 1 for 5, and 1 for a couple of months (maybe 6? I don't remember). For the first time in my life, I went on a casual date with someone. I got out of a 2.5 year relationship just a couple months ago, and me and the person I went on the date with both agreed it would be casual. We had talked a lot and kissed a couple of times, but I knew I just didn't really feel that romantically interested in him, which I told him after the date. He was cool, I'm cool, and it's all fine. I guess my question is: If I can't imagine dating someone or even having a crush on them if we haven't known each other for a while, is that demisexuality/demiromance? I guess I've never realized how hard it is for me to have feelings for someone if I don't know them really well and they don't know me really well until now, since, fun fact, this is the longest time I've been single in the past 6 years :/. I guess I'm just confused and trying to get some perspective from people who know they are demisexual/romantic.
Also, fellow bisexual afab/nonbinary etc. People, how do you do this whole thing with a woman? I've never even tried, and I've almost always had pretty much exclusively male/amab friends. I'm going into my second year of college in the theater arts program and I'm dual enrolled at two colleges if that helps. I also have a host of mental issues like anxiety, depression, and OCD (all diagnosed by a doctor/therapist). Help?
Thanks y'all, I appreciate you reading this (:
Edit: I guess I should clarify the guy I went on the date with I don't know super well, we've been acquainted for a year but we're just now getting to know each other.
