his  words  are  nothing  more  than  a  script   /   how  hollow  it  is  you  feel  to  such  inspiring  wisdom   (   have  you  already  failed   ?   /   does  the  path  forward  once  again  doomed  to  perish   ?   ).   you’ve  heard  this  one  too  many  times   /   yet  he  doesn’t  know   (   he  only  believes  he’s  saying  this  for  the  first  time   ).   it  seems  life  itself  has  chained  you  to  your  fate   /   no  matter  how  hard  you  fight  against  it   (   was  this  your  reality  then   ?   /   that  fate  could  not  be  changed   ?   ).   for  you  have  made  every  mistake   /   you  have  tried  every  solution   &   still   ,   you  come  back  here  to  do  it  all  over  again.   yet  ah   /   your  golden  eyes  are  still  warm  with  hope   (   after  all   /   you  never  had  a  choice   /   to  keep  pushing  on  is  all  you  ever  could  do   ).
