“ a-an’ he was super scared an’ shit! ‘cause i’d wrecked 'im real bad— ” whilst the story may have started off true as time, a boyish enthusiasm soon disintegrated it into nothing more than a tall tale. usually, demo was the one made victim of jeremy’s blabbering, ( his drunkenness easily gave off the illusion of paying attention ) but the story was on the tip of his tongue and he just had to set it free. spy’s agitation is merely an expected side effect. 

hands fly about the air in emphasis, brows knit in a mock anger before that anger turns true. finally the big question emerges from the dark, “ —are y’even listenin’? “

Perhaps, for MILLISECONDS, the Spy had been listening with a green tinted gaze half above the rim of a wine glass, until such eyes focused on the nearing EMPTY nature of his drink; DEAF was he in the crisis of sobriety, what stories the Scout may conger from an ill-mongered brain was entirely, utterly,  JEJUNE.

“Of course not.” The honest he offered the EXASPERATED young man was unwarranted aggression-- the Spy would set his glass down, and now, when the Scout found himself BROODING and missing the drunken attentions of the demo, that he showed an inkling of interest.
