after watching donnie darko for the third or fourth time, i will say that life is strange is very clever in it's references to its inspiration. things like the deer, the perverted icon, and the troubled teenager being the trigger of the "end of the world." although i do like donnie a lot more than i do chloe and the game and film are very different works in their own right, this rewatch gave me a greater appreciation for the first game that i didn't have before. shoutout life is strange! and shoutout jake gyllenhaal!
