I think part of getting better is complete ego death. Like you’re not above setting a timer for 5 minutes and focusing on a task. You’re not above doing a very simple 3 minute workout to start. You’re not above reading for 10 minutes a day when you first get out of your reading slump, even if you used to read for hours. You’re not above starting slow and then building up to where you want to be/where you once were. What you are above is total inertia. Doing something really is better than doing nothing. Radically accept where you are, radically accept your limits, and go from there. Don’t let your ego get in the way.

Radically accept you will often look like a doofus or feel like a frustrated baby trying new things or doing exactly what you need to do to heal or grow.

I know this is hard to hear but sometimes the problem is you.

Yes, exactly. Businesses are going to push for this a lot, they're going to present it as something normal, just a bit of fun. But the goal is genuinely just to exploit the exact same psychological vulnerabilities that gambling does. And frankly in many cases to sell you unwanted stock at a premium price. It is simply not worth it, and you're better off not participating.

I need to say this just because I keep seeing discussions around it irl, but you're not really pro choice if you're uncomfortable with women getting an abortion just because they don't want to be pregnant. If you need a moral reason to be okay with it, you're not pro choice. You need to be okay with someone who did not use contraception, who has the means to take care of a child, who's not in a bad situation, someone who's just not interested in being pregnant, getting an abortion to be pro choice. If you need something to be wrong in her life or else you start judging, you're not pro choice. It's always her choice, no matter why she's making it.
