Both of these are gourmet choices; however, I have Raven on deck in my single remaining ask (with two other characters of note ;) ) so I will start with Pietor and you can stay tuned for the following post.

I like how I can write Pietor as an abuser and victim at the same time. He's incredibly layered and I adore that in him.
one aspect i wish more people understood about them
Furan is a mercenary until he isn't. He can be bought! And also, just because he accepts money doesn't mean he's on your side. He can play a lot of games, but unlike his sister, he can work with people.
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character
One headcanon that I have referenced in a fic is that Pietor would have tried to raise Raven (more or less) if she had been born a boy. Part of this has to do with his relationship with Anastasiaāas it stands, Anastasia wanted to use Elena's child as a weapon against her lover. If Raven had been a boy, however, I like thinking that Pietor would have felt more confident about "reclaiming" Elena's child. Instead of being a subtle weapon, a nephew could be as explosive as himself.

Raven! I love him getting his ass kicked. But, I will also say, I love the way that Pietor betrays Jason Drake. That was also amusing.

Anastasia! Which I said the same thing in the post about her but genuinely I think Pietor would be so much more interesting if juxtaposed next to his twin at any given time.

(betrayal over her choosing Nero? some twisted version of a mercy killing to spare her seeing what theyād do to raven/what Anastasia would do to her to bring her back into the fold? Just pragmatically deciding that Anastasias og plan left too many loose ends and chances to wake up with a knife in the ribs if elena was left alive?)
I love all those questions!! When I wrote this, I was definitely thinking of the mercy killing aspect (and saving her from Anastasia's wrath) but now that you say it I LOVE the interpretation that Elena would never forgive them and would get her own revenge. That to me is SOOOO tasty. Good thoughts!!
Maybe all three, onion have layer after all, neither on its own would have been enough but combined? He can only internally admit to the first one though - Over the years it calcifies to the point where he can barely acknowledge he took the shot on purpose at all.
