          &&.   Though it was barely a moment, the intensity of  e x a s p e r a t i o n  in her glare as she looked upon Dex Hughes might’ve made one assume it had been ten minutes. Eventually, however, Shiloh relented. “Fine!!” She huffed, slamming the pint down unceremoniously before him. “Enjoy a warm beer on the house, mate. Do me a favour and tell all your pals what a nice,  R E S P E C T A B L E  joint the Green Dragon is in return, aye?” She flashed a toothy grin for affect. 

Dex smiled through Shiloh’s glare, a winning grin still on his face (though had it lasted any longer even his resilience might have given out), gladly taking the pint and raising it in a toast, “Bless you, Shiloh Schultz---the hero London deserves! I’ll sing your praises to anyone who’ll listen, I swear!” Giving a laugh, he brought the glass to his lips, downing it in a few long gulps, “What a fine establishment----am I right, lads?” He turned, roaring to the nearby tables, who all cheered in return. Turning back to Shiloh, he set the glass down, “I hope they’re not expecting a round on me to accompany that cheer.” 

“I know that I should be thankful but I think I would die happy if I didn’t have to sign another piece of paper or…body part ever again. –Well at least for a little while.” 

“And here I was just about to ask for the autograph of the prettiest girl in the room---maybe I’ll have better luck next time then, yeah?” Dex came up behind Dom, pressing a kiss to her temple before sitting down across from her, “I’m not running too late, am I? Or have you found another scruffy lad to replace me with?”

          &&.   Wielding the full pint about, Shiloh’s expression remained unimpressed. “Alright, if SOMEBODY doesn’t claim this in  h a l f  a second, and I know ONE OF YOU ORDERED IT, then I’m just gonna’ skull it myself. It’s been sitting on the counter for fifteen fuckin’ minutes.” She held it up one final time. “Pay up or lose out, assholes.”

Dex had moved up to the bar when she’d began talking, giving her a wide grin as he leaned against the bar, “Well I didn’t order it and---as it’s probably a bit warm now I’m not gonna pay for it but I could take if off your hands? You know, just in the spirit of helping out.”
