(blog has moved)

Hi again, everyone!

I got just about everything moved (reblogged) over to the new account, and the names have been switched.

Henceforth, this is now “devynmccart-moved,” and my active art account is @devynmccart

As of writing this, I’m still trying to tidy up a little and settle on a theme, but some new things will be appearing there very shortly!

I will leave this page up, though, since I’m rather sentimental, and it’s nice to have a record of things I’ve made (even the bizarre / low-quality school work). However, all new posts, images, etc. will appear on the new devynmccart page. And if you want to hear more about Kingstown / Spawn / whatever spills out of my brain, that’s the place to look!

Thanks for sticking with me folks, and happy 2016.

Heya folks, friends, and followers,

Just as a heads-up, I’m going to be moving this blog sometime soon. I started this as a side blog a few years ago (alongside my primary blog, which is mostly reblogs of silly animals), but it’s just getting too inconvenient to keep them untangled, technologically speaking.

Since tumblr doesn’t let you just switch which is your primary / secondary account, I’m going to need to set up a new one. I’ll reblog most of the decent posts from here, and once it’s ready, I’ll switch URLs (ideally so that the new one will become devynmccart, and this old one will just be old-devynmccart or something) and make a post with the link; that way, any links to devynmccart.tumblr.com will redirect to the new blog (I hope). However, folks will still need to re-follow me over there once it’s set up.

I know it’ll be a little inconvenient for all parties here, but I’d like to do this before I get any big projects (i.e. “Kingstown”) really rolling -- so likely within the next few days. I’ll try to make this as smooth a transition as possible.

Charlie and D.C. wish everybody a Happy New Year!! They’re certainly starting it off with a bang.

These two have another reason to celebrate, too, because 2016 will finally see the launch of their adventures in the webcomic Kingstown! Starting Thursday, January 14,  browserdude and I will begin releasing his comic brainchild online. More info to come -- keep your eyes open for a link to the site!

Hey, woah, what’s this?

I tried out some speed drawing / painting a couple weeks ago. I wasn’t terribly impressed with how fast I was (about 1 - 1.5 hours each), but it was a fun experiment. I played some more with inking and watercolor pencils!

Here’s some more progress on my character Scout’s walk / march cycle. I realized I should’ve saved more “in between” videos of my progress, but this gives at least a little idea of my process.
