An  endless  expanse  of  darkness  stretched  in  every  direction,  deeper  than  any  ocean.  Stars  float  through  like  distant  specks,  their  fractured  glow  drifting  through  the  darkness  alongside  silent  rivers  of  stardust.  There  was  no  horizon,  no  sky  nor  earth.  Only  infinity.  Only  the  abyss. 

A  lone  figure  walks  across  nothing,  the  sound  of  her  heels  walking  through  thin  puddles  of  water.  Acheron  neither  seeks  a  destination  nor  knew  if  one  existed.  Only  forward. 

Until  she's  met  with  a  flash  of  silver  and  the  impact  of  swords  echo  through  the  deep  sea  abyss.  Acheron's  crimson  blade  rested  against  a  sword  unlike  any  other  she  had  seen before.  Its  polished  edge  like  crystal  ice.  Their  faces  are  separated  by  scarcely  an  arm's  length.  Violet  eyes.  Magenta  eyes.  Both  utterly  unreadable.

Across  the  Sea  of  Flowers  in  Memory,  blossoms  sway  beneath  an  endless  sky,  their  petals  shimmering  with  echoes  of  forgotten  lives.  Yet  with  every  measured  step  Acheron  takes  towards @castorice,  the  sea  recoils.  Vibrant  flowers  blacken  and  curl  into  ash,  while  butterflies  falter  in  mid-flight,  their  delicate  wings  stilled  before  they  tumble  to  the  ground.

Ashveil  offers  a  warm,  patient  smile,  his  head  tilting  just  enough  to  betray  a  flicker  of  confusion.  Grandpa?  It's  not  entirely  inaccurate.  Not  by  age,  at  least.

"Oh?"  A  soft  chuckle  escapes  him.  "Sharing  a  meal  with  the  younger  generation  adds  a  certain..."  He  pauses,  tapping  a  finger  thoughtfully  against  his  chin  before  slipping  effortlessly  into  Spanish.  "¿Cómo  se  dice...?  Ah!  Umami."

His  smile  widens,  laugh  lines  settling  comfortably  at  the  corners  of  his  eyes.

“Those  rascals  have  a  remarkable  talent  for  turning  even  the  simplest  of  meals  into  something  memorable”  He  gives  an  amused  shrug.  "But  never  dull.  So  yes,  I  quite  enjoy  dining  with  them."

His  gaze  narrows  ever  so  slightly  at  Kaeya.  The  genial  warmth  never  leaves  his  face,  but  there  is  a  knowing  glimmer  behind  it  now.

“...Why  do  you  ask?”  Ashveil  folds  his  arms  loosely  across  his  chest,  one  brow  arching  with  quiet  suspicion.

"I  smell..."  He  takes  an  exaggerated  sniff  of  the  air  before  smiling  again.  “...  something  nefarious  around  you.”
