Thinking about what if Yingxing/Blade did end up going with Ashveil way back when and joining the Galaxy Hunters, but also keeping in mind how Jing Yuan wanted to be a Galaxy Ranger also. It's almost heartbreaking whichever POV you think about, whether Jing Yuan's or Yingxing's because for Jing Yuan's pov he was very close to his childhood dream, not only was La Mancha, the leader of the Galaxy Rangers on a Xianzhou ship with his crew of Rangers, but was also aiding in an Abomination war ... and Jing Yuan's closest best friend is offered the opportunity and he turns it down.

I am by no means saying Yinxing was ungrateful or painting him like he crushed Jing Yuan's dream, I doubt he even knew, but the opportunity to join was very validated. Yingxing had every making to be a Galaxy Ranger. He had revenge in his heart against the Borsin/abominations and the sole reason he became a forge master was to craft weapons for the Cloud Knights, he even believed he would not live long enough to see his homeplanet avenged; now I'm not saying not every person needs revenge in their heart to be their ticket into the Galaxy Rangers, however, I do want to point out that every canon Galaxy Ranger that we know their backstory, they are motivated by revenge, and those who didn't have revenge as a goal ends up not joining the Galaxy Rangers like Jing Yuan and Robin. So why did Yingxing stayed if he's motivated by revenge?

The reason was because he chooses to stay by his friends, the HCQ and even if the opposite had happened, the offer made to Jing Yuan, I think the answer would have still been the same. They pick their friends. Which plays into the whole idea who are likely to become a Galaxy Ranger.

It's when someone has lost family, friends, and home. It's the loneliest people. Boothill we know the story I don't need to get into it. Rappa was a science experiment and didn't have friends or family and when the lab which she was raised on was up in flames and everybody was dead, she joins the Galaxy Rangers. Even Mydei who is a simulated path of the Hunt, he's literally thrown out of his home by his own father, thrown in a river, and as he's growing up we see him lose Hephaestion, Perdikkas, Leonnius, Ptolemy, and Peucesta, his friends. Sure, the Chrysos Heirs become his new 'friends/family' but he still chooses to be alone when it comes to making a choice, to leave Okhema, to defend the borders against the Dark Tide. Same situation with Ashveil. It wasn't until he was losing Galaxy Rangers, losing his friends, in operation Zulo to swallow the shadows and keep Voracity in his arm, it's also the reason why he's being hunted, because some people think he willingly sacrifice his friends' lives for his revenge which can't be further from the truth.

Basically, the path of being a Hunter (Galaxy Ranger) is for the loneliest people who have lost all friends, family, and home, who have justice and revenge in their hearts. What we're learning is you need all 3. I mean, look at The Reignbow Arbiter, THEY too lost all friends, family, and homeplanet before THEY ascended and THEY are the ultimate hunter.

This is the hollowness of revenge because whether hunters live to accomplish their hunt or die in the attempt, at the end, they're still alone, and as Sunday said: The Hunt brings only futile misery. You're alone in your pursuit of revenge and you're still alone after the fact, if you live to see your revenge accomplished. Look at Ashveil. All alone all those years until a little pink haired girl found him and dropped a monkey assistant in his office.

Ashveil  squints  his  eyes  at  the  light  of  his  cellphone  as  he  listens  to  the  message  in  the  dark  chilly  air  within  the  refrigerator.  Ah.  Boothill.  His  message  is  a  curious  one,  the  hour  of  the  text  just  as  so,  enough  to  make  the  detective  yawn  and  rouse  from  his  slumber;  pushing  open  the  door  and  sitting  up.

The  detective  holds  his  head  at  his  desk,  his  other  hand  holding  the  cellphone  and  texting;  currently  he's  suffering  a  crisis  of  cosmic  proportions.  A  leaked  photo  of  his  cross  dressing  gig  is  circulating  on  the  web  and  Ashveil  thought  Kuchiba  would  help  with  the  online  discourse  but  …
