“You’re going to have to slow down speed racer.” Devin called out to her brother who was taking to the bike a lot better then she was. “God, who’s idea was this again and who was the one who picked such a hilly path.”

“I wouldn’t push me if i was you Lennon, you’re on my turf right now.” She commented, gesturing to the water. “I can make an outfit change for you very necessary if you don’t stop throwing things at me.”

“You sound exactly like a journalist from like every movie that includes a journalist ever,” Tristan replied teasingly, “But you’re not in a movie and that is too much coffee. Switch to decaf maybe yeah?”

"Well it goes to show they’re more factual then people think, only difference is running in heels is not as easy as they make it look.” Devin pointed out, “Decaf doesn’t give me the buzz I need though...” She pouted, rubbing at her shoulder that was starting to cramp up.

“I certainly hope you have a good reason to interrupt me,” Wes murmured, looking up from the book he was reading.

“Every reason for my interruption is a good one, after all, I’m a delight.” Devin commented with a smile on her face. “Can I sit?”

“What are you working on there, Dev?” Tristan asked, approaching his sister.

“Trying to come up with a concept for this article, they gave me a fluff piece which I’m pissed about. So as a screw you back to them, I’m going to take a new angle on it and right the best damned fluff piece ever.” She commented, her pen tapping on the edge of her laptop. “Also I’ve have six cups of coffee in the space of three hours.”

“And you’re sure you know what you’re doing?” Casper asked, watching the other carefully and with a little concern, “Because if you don’t, it doesn’t matter just don’t do it.”

“You know, the more you talk the more this could go horribly wrong.” Devin commented, glaring at the other. “I know what I’m doing, now do you want me to help you still or not?”

“Sheesh pushy,” Arden said, rolling off her couch. “Didn’t we just go to the Christmas market before the snowstorm?”

“We did, but do you really want to be inside when we were stuck indoors for so long because of said snowstorm. Fresh air is good for you, Arden. You should know that more then anyone.”

Lennon: Plus you might wanna check their expiration date. I'm not sure how long we've had those since candy gets finished rather quickly in this apartment

Arden: I know now that Air and Fire don't mix very well. It was ONE time and we were sixteen. I won't set it off again.

Arden: Like Devin said, she's here to put it out and not destroy ya'll security deposit.

Tristan: Hey those are my jelly beans, don't touch them!

Tristan: Seriously I was saving them

Tristan: There might be some leftover chili from last week in the freezer put it in a pan to heat up. I don't know if there's any rice but it should tide you over until the storm is over

Devin: What are you talking about, they're the perfect sustenance in these situations.

Devin: Yeah, don't set OUR apartment on fire, Arden. pls and thnx. If you do I might just have to come and flood yours so we're even.

“We’re three adult women who should be able to cook a meal without their brother being here to do it for them. We’ve got this!” She spoke, maybe a little bit too much enthusiasm in her voice as she stood up. “Or at least we’ve probably got something we can microwave.” She added, “And yeah- maybe just keep Arden away from anything flammable.”

Lennon: Yeah we can't even order in because of the storm.

Lennon: We're going to starve Tris, how will we survive?

Arden: We're just withering away Tris.

Arden: How could you do this to us?

Tristan: There's food in the house

Tristan: I'm sure there's something you guys can manage not to burn

Tristan: Please don't start a fire

Tristan: How ironic that it's me saying that...

Devin: Yes, but the good stuff we would have to cook and assemble and-... well... it's not as easy as ramen.

Devin: If a fire did start, I'm here- I can put it out without any drama. We're fine.

“I mean there’s plenty we can do,” Lennon shrugged. “But now that I think of it– since we had things prepared for dinner, there’s also totally some dessert we can dig into if you two are game.”

“Only if you have something chocolate,” Arden replied.  “I only brought fruit salad and that’s not really a dessert.”

“Why is it that whenever something like this happens, you always feel stuck of something to do. When in reality, if the storm wasn’t here, we’d probably still be holed up in here all night.” Devin mused, her eyebrows knitting together in thought. “We could also try to prepare dinner-... I know it’s sort of a long shot, but all three of us surely can’t fuck it up that badly, right? I mean, how hard could it be?”

Devin: But who's going to cook?!?

Devin: Kidding. Kind of. But I'm guessing this also means take out is not an option?

Devin: Basically, guy's- I'm hungry.

“They’re a group of villains that feed on chaos and strife. What better way to evoke that then leaking personal information in the form of gossip in a town filled with hormonal teenage superheroes.” Devon commented with a small shake of her head, “It’s not the first time they’ve pulled this stunt and I doubt it’ll be the last.”

“Okay super happy to have the lights back on and all, but is that seriously it? That’s the end? A little bit of a tech fail and some scathing tweets?” Evan shakes their head, sighing. “For one thing it’s a little tame, and for another… Well, that’s kinda my only argument. It’s tame! Super villains my ass. They got nothing better than a little pot stirring?” 

Devin looked to the other, listening to their words and sighed deeply as she rubbed at her temples, “I hardly think this is it, from what my Father has told me about MALUM they like to make a scene.” Devin told them, “If anything this is probably just the start.”
