Please take me ancient creatures of the night
Volturi (New Moon aesthetic)
How would the Volturi kings react to their mate leaving and coming back? PT. II
A/N: Still angst (but it does have a semi happy ending) NSFW UNDER CUT
Aro
He was outraged. You let him believe you were dead. He wanted to kill you right then and there, but he didnt, his emotions were keeping him in place. He felt relieved. He felt angered. He felt Joy. He felt pain, he didnt know what to feel, he just locked you in your room after so many years of not seeing you.
Everything was as you left it, though your scent had faded from the blankets, tear marks left on the pillows from Aro endlessly crying into it. You didnt know if you coming back was a good thing anymore.
All you knew is that he will not let you out again. Not now. Not ever.
He did recover and did start slowly trusting you to leave but he never let you step one foot outside the castle without Jane or Alec. He wouldnt let it happen again.
Marcus
Cried genuine tears of relief, he refused to let go when he embraced you tightly. He kissed every inch of your skin he could reach, he cried into your neck. He felt the weight of a million worlds lift from his shoulders. He finally felt complete, whole again.
He wouldnt let you leave again, at least for a few months until he finally mentally recovered and was stable (as he could get) but he still tenses when you leave for a little too long. But would always be relieved when you come back to him.
Caius
Like Aro. He would freeze in place. He didnt know what he would do if you did come back, he was half and half about it. He was relieved and happy you were safe, but also he wanted to snap your head off for ever leaving him.
Going fucking insane u guys
I don't even know what the purpose of this comparison was

Wounded bond - Platonic!Volturi x Female! Reader
The worst part wasn’t finding out.
It wasn’t even seeing your boyfriend with another girl.
It was how normal he acted afterward.
Like he hadn’t shattered something inside you.
Like he hadn’t smiled at you that morning and kissed your cheek before class.
Like he hadn’t looked you in the eyes and lied.
And somehow…
That hurt more.
⸻
By the time school ended, your heart felt heavy.
Alice Cullen was chatting excitedly about something with Rosalie Hale while Emmett Cullen and Jasper Hale argued over baseball.
Edward Cullen glanced over at you from the driver’s seat.
You immediately looked out the window.
Edward frowned.
He couldn’t hear your thoughts, but he could see the sadness in your eyes.
“You alright?” he asked quietly.
You forced a smile.
“Fine.”
Alice stopped talking.
Rosalie narrowed her eyes.
Emmett paused mid-sentence.
Nobody believed you.
But nobody pushed.
Not yet.
⸻
What none of you knew was that visitors had arrived.
Important visitors.
By the time your family reached the Cullen house, laughter drifted from the living room.
You blinked.
“…What?”
Alice gasped.
“They’re here!”
Before you could ask who, she was already dragging Rosalie inside.
And there—
Seated comfortably in the Cullen home as though they owned it—
Were the Volturi.
Aro practically lit up.
“My dear child!”
He stood immediately.
Marcus sat beside him, serene and quiet.
Caius looked mildly annoyed by Washington weather.
Nearby stood Felix, Demetri, Jane Volturi and Alec Volturi.
And of course, Carlisle Cullen and Esme Cullen were smiling warmly.
Aro spread his arms.
“Come, come!”
Normally, you’d have rushed over.
Normally, Aro would’ve received a hug and Caius would grumble about “human affection.”
Normally.
But today…
You just smiled weakly.
“Hi.”
And headed upstairs.
Silence.
Everyone stared.
Aro froze.
Marcus blinked.
Caius frowned.
Even Jane looked confused.
The front door closed behind Edward.
And immediately—
“Something is wrong.”
Three voices.
Simultaneously.
Carlisle sighed.
“We noticed she’s been upset.”
Esme nodded worriedly.
“She won’t talk.”
Aro looked horrified.
“She didn’t hug me.”
Marcus sat forward slightly.
“Her bond feels wounded.”
Caius’s expression darkened.
“Who upset our girl?”
Edward blinked.
“Our girl?”
“Yes,” Caius snapped.
Edward slowly looked at Carlisle.
Carlisle looked just as surprised.
⸻
Without another word, Aro stood.
“We’re going upstairs.”
Esme smiled softly.
“She may need space—”
“Nonsense.”
Caius rose too.
“Clearly she’s distressed.”
Marcus followed.
And suddenly three ancient kings marched upstairs with all the urgency of a military operation.
Felix and Demetri exchanged looks.
Jane grinned.
“This should be interesting.”
⸻
You sat on your bed hugging your knees.
You hadn’t even changed out of your school clothes.
Your eyes burned.
You were tired.
Sad.
Humiliated.
Then—
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
You sniffled.
“Come in.”
The door opened.
And you nearly fell off the bed.
Aro.
Marcus.
Caius.
Standing there.
Like concerned dads.
“Hello, darling,” Aro said gently.
You blinked.
“…Hi?”
Marcus sat beside you.
Caius remained standing.
And for several moments, nobody spoke.
Then Marcus quietly said:
“Your heart is hurting.”
Tears instantly filled your eyes.
And that was all it took.
You broke.
⸻
Through tears and hiccups, you explained everything.
The cheating.
The lies.
How stupid you felt.
How embarrassed you were.
And the entire time—
The three kings listened.
Aro held your hand.
Marcus rubbed your back awkwardly.
And Caius looked increasingly murderous.
By the end—
Silence.
Then—
“He did WHAT?”
Aro’s voice echoed through the room.
Downstairs, everyone jumped.
Jane looked up from her book.
“Oh dear.”
Felix smiled.
“Someone’s dying.”
Demetri nodded.
“Probably.”
⸻
“No one is dying,” Carlisle said immediately.
“No one is dying,” Esme repeated.
“No one is dying,” Edward added.
Upstairs—
Caius looked offended.
“He betrayed her.”
“Yes.”
“He made her cry.”
“Yes.”
“He breathed near her.”
“…Yes.”
Caius stood.
“I merely wish to speak.”
Everyone knew that phrase was dangerous.
Aro nodded.
“A discussion.”
Marcus, surprisingly, spoke.
“He has caused pain.”
“Exactly!” Aro cried.
“Which means consequences.”
You stared.
“Guys—”
Three heads turned toward you.
“Sweetheart?” Aro asked softly.
“You can’t kill him.”
Aro looked scandalized.
“Kill him?!”
Pause.
“Certainly not.”
Another pause.
“…Without consulting Carlisle.”
“Carlisle!”
⸻
Downstairs, Carlisle groaned.
Edward covered his face.
Esme tried not to laugh.
Rosalie smirked.
Emmett whispered:
“I kinda like them.”
⸻
Eventually, after much convincing, the kings agreed not to murder your ex-boyfriend.
Though Caius muttered something about “showing restraint.”
Then Marcus quietly reached over and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.
“You loved.”
You blinked.
“And being hurt for loving is nothing shameful.”
His voice was soft.
Ancient.
Gentle.
“It speaks well of you.”
More tears spilled down your cheeks.
Aro squeezed your hand.
“You are precious.”
“And foolish boys are plentiful,” Caius added.
“You deserve better.”
And somehow…
That made you cry harder.
Because they cared.
These three terrifying rulers who commanded nations.
Who inspired fear.
Who had lived thousands of years.
And they were comforting you over your first heartbreak.
⸻
Later that evening, after much coaxing, Aro insisted on movie night.
“You require healing.”
Caius complained about the television.
Marcus sat beside you on the couch.
Jane brought blankets.
Alec offered tea.
Felix arrived with snacks.
Demetri somehow found your favorite candy.
And soon the entire living room was chaos.
Emmett challenged Felix to arm wrestling.
Rosalie yelled at both of them.
Alice demanded everyone wear matching pajamas.
Edward was suffering.
Carlisle looked amused.
Esme looked happy.
And you—
For the first time all week—
Laughed.
The room went quiet.
Everyone turned.
Aro smiled warmly.
“There she is.”
Marcus’s lips curved slightly.
And Caius—
Caius, who frightened entire covens—
Reached over and handed you another cookie.
“There.”
You smiled.
“Thanks.”
He huffed.
“Naturally.”
And though he’d deny it for the next five centuries—
Caius stayed beside you for the rest of the night.
Because no foolish teenage boy was going to make one of his children cry and get away with it.
Not while she had an immortal army of overprotective vampires who loved her.
