The Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) will take place in Seville, Spain from 30 June to 3 July, 2025. The Conference will address new and emerging issues, and the urgent need to fully implement the Sustainable Development Goals, and support reform of the international financial architecture.

FfD4 will assess the progress made in the implementation of the Monterrey Consensus, the Doha Declaration and the Addis Ababa

The Third Session of the Preparatory Committee for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development will be held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 10 to 14 February 2025.

In her most recent reports, from 2023 and 2024, the Special Rapporteur of the Human Rights Council on the negative impact of unilateral coercive measures on the enjoyment of human rights, Professor Alena F. Douhan, reported on the increasing trend of over-compliance with so-called "sanctions" by governments, companies, and various entities.

The side event will explore how countries are using Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs) to transform national financing ecosystems to accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

With over 85 countries utilizing INFFs to align public and private finances with the SDGs, this session will highlight country experiences and discuss how the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) can strengthen the impact of INFFs. The event will feature high-level government officials and international partners, focusing on fostering collaboration to drive sustainable development financing and reforms in global financial systems.
