Hermione and Lord Voldemort ruin the past

What will it feel like? What will I feel like?

Why can’t I find a firmer answer?

It didn’t feel like such a wild ask to her.

She only wanted straight facts on what to expect when approaching a first heat. 

A clear list on what a Beta felt versus an Alpha versus an Omega. 

A guidebook without guessing, but all she’d dug into was treacle-sweet gushing over the act of finally becoming “oneself”.  

She stared at the book with a silent push for it to be more helpful. 

Or, at the very least, a little less flowery. 

Why was it the default for teens to be kept in the dark about anything related to the needlessly mystical “Great Change”, she wondered for the hundredth time? It felt cruel enough that she’d already been caught off guard when she discovered she was a witch. A step behind the rest of her pure-blood peers and running to catch up, and no, it simply wouldn’t do to be surprised again. 

So, Hermione flipped forward a couple of pages.

She hunkered down to read and be peeved for a little while longer through lunch.
