I was initially going to have it set up while I watched the final for the first time but decided against it. And then I was heartbroken and a mess and...YEA all that...I genuiely didn't have it in me or the want to, to even look back at my card. That's how unwell I was. But then I saw someone else's and it cheered me up a little and inspired me so here we are!

I know aziraphale didn't FULLY do the apology dance but it was an attempt, so I'm saying it counts.

I'm only half counting the mention of Gabriel and beez bc iirc only Gabriel was mentioned by one of the other angels.

I also put aziracrow become humans...I'm counting that just for the sake of counting it but imo aziracrow themselves didn't become human we just see another universe in which they are human. (Completely my own opinion I'm currently making a separate post about this topic)

I didn't count aziracrow travel to a different star system, I was going to at first bc I was thinking of the eternal flame but I don't think that's a star system lol.

...And just for the sake of making a bingo I marked "happy ending". Imo it is a happy ending for some people, just not the happy ending I WOULDVE wanted but again, I'm making a separate post just for that.

But that was my bingo card!! I had a blast theorizing what would happen and had fun seeing how many I got...which I did end up getting a bingo! even if don't fully agree with myself and counting that last one as true or not

I wouldve loved to see them dance or even just hug for that matter. Also I wanted to see them dine at the Ritz 💔 and 1941 pt3...and...yea you get the point, all the rest of my thoughts will be on that different post i plan to make so.

something may be a bad piece of media and you might still like it, and the opposite is also true. sometimes, a piece of media is good and one still dislikes it. and, most of the times, media is not easily categoriesed as good or bad and people will still love and hate it.

Good omens has an extremely emotionally taxing ending. there's a lot to digest and to process and think about, both in screen and surrounding the process of its creation.

A lot of people has been taking their first emotional reaction as negative. putting feelings like grief, sadness and anger under the umbrella of "bad", and so tagging the finale like that too. I don't agree with that.

these 90 minutes are being extremely hard on me. I still can't put it to proper words, and I probably won't for a long while. But what I can say for now is that it's a good ending. Not a perfect one, not what we would've choosen, but a good one. there's a lot LOT of things in it that are flawed, and most of them tie back to the season being compressed into a movie. but there's also a lot LOT of well done things.

I hope that the fandom in general will be able to discuss this without antagonising each other. even if you think the end was not good (and there's things that back up that thought) this discussion is good. the back and forth of theories and analysis and discussion about character arcs and all the fan creations, are what make fandom.

You see, things often aren't as good or as bad as we dream them to be. so many times I've seen them painfully (or blissfully) fall right there in the middle.

In my "realistic" view (and this of course only **my** view, don't take anything that I say in this post as nice and accurate) the movie will be mid. the writers received a task designed to go wrong. transforming six-ish hours in one and a half is... insane. besides, we don't even know if they were good six-ish hours; s2 has many problems around the writing that i believe we all can recognise. BUT! as was proven also in s2, it can still be enjoyable. everyone involved is too competent.

So! a lot will bother us, a lot we will love. we will be left wanting more, and that will make us thrive as a fandom. we will keep creating and giving the characters all the love and stories they didn't have time to develop.

Result of we getting a mid finale? we will still be here, creating and enjoying fandom together.

but let's extrapolate now. what if things don't fall in the middle?

pessimistic view - movie is shit. the writers couldn't save a line of it. what Neil planned wasn't nice to begin with and transforming all that in 90 min was truly an impossible task. Terry's touch is lacking even more, everything feels ooc or soulless.

we still have the beautiful cinematography, costumes, set design and acting, because I truly don't think they can miss on that, but the script really shits the story.

but the thing is - s2 made the fandom so alive bc it wasn't as good as s1 (this makes me think of the good place; the series is so round and sound it doesn't leave much space for transformative works). ofc the fandom before the show and after s1 was already very big and alive, but i think we all saw how bigger it got after s2. i really believe one of the reasons for that is because s2 isn't as sound as s1. I hope that this would happen in this case too. the fandom is infuriated by the finale, lots of big feelings that led us to create.

Result of we getting a bad finale? we will still be here, creating and enjoying fandom together.

optimistic view - the idea for the finale is actually super good, and for some damn reason it works brilliantly for 90 min, even more than 6h. the cinematography, acting, set design, music and costumes on top of the incredible script makes so that this is the best piece of media we could've got.

the fandom is happy. we still want more, because we always will want more of this universe, and that want keeps us around. we make metas, we analyse every frame, we talk, we share, we write and draw and all the other fun stuff.

Result of we getting a good finale? we will still be here, creating and enjoying fandom together.

in short, we will be fine no matter what happens. by now the GO universe is *our* sandbox. the place we chose to meet and to play around, and no matter what canon turns out to become, it can still be that if so we decide.
