He had changed so fast that she hardly had time to notice it. She knew she shouldn’t have said it but she couldn’t change it now. Evelyn watched him gather himself up to leave and she didn’t say anything at first. He was more alarmed than she had seen him yet, it made her worry.

Flight gave a quaint nod, avoiding eye contact as he returned to the nervous boy he was. He barely took another look at her before venturing to the double doors and pushing one open with a hand. Then rejoining with the sergeant and Inspector a few steps away from the bar. "She knows absolutely nothing, sirs. May we return to the station?" Flight asked in a somewhat frustrated voice yet slightly attempting to remain polite. 

Flight's eyes roamed everywhere but Evelyn. He had dragged her into a bribing game he had been playing with Inspector Shine since he was a boy. He parted his lips to speak, attempting to find a suitable reply. All he could think of was the ideas of excusing himself and leaving the bar. "Evelyn. It's been...~" He couldn't find the right word. "~Great seeing you again since the previous time, but I should be returning to my job." He avoided eye contact with the woman behind the bar. "Reid won't be happy if I'm late again." He muttered under his breath.

Evelyn shrugged again and set a hand on her hip. “Glad his visits have been scarce. Always causes trouble, that one.” She paused and thought for a tick. After a sigh she said, “Especially after Aiden came around.” She stopped there. It was best not to share too much about Aiden, at least for now.

Flight's eyes couldn't help but widen at the mention of the Inspector. He closed his eyes for a moment and swallowed back his fear. "It's nothin', Evelyn. You just need to stay away from the man." The boy didn't want to say anything else of the inspector as he'd seen the way he dealt with the people that got in his way or had problems against him.
