Oh boy, I can only imagine how often I’m all around fangirling in said tag. I feel like I should be embarrassed because rarely am I calm when I come across something PJo-related. It’s just full-on SJFDKDFKFK. 😂 I It triggers the feels as well as the nostalgia every darn time !!!

Pacey and Joey are one of my otps of OTPs, and I completely agree that their buildup in s3 is a blast to watch. The slow burn revelation of interest then feelings is something I live for! s3 is actually my favorite season of Dawson’s Creek, so that means it’s also the one I rewatch the most. The two of them have a lovely s3-s4 arc, though, and I only wish more of my OTPs were as lucky as PJo.

As far as some of my favorite PJo moments go…

(these are in no particular order, btw)

1) 6x15 Castaways - the whole episode, seriously. IT’S LIKE A LIVE ACTION FANFIC AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH. 

It features a whole slew of my favorite tropes. There’s kind of a fake/friend date thing at the beginning when Joey agrees to be his +1 for a work dinner, there’s forced proximity/stuck together alone somewhere; there’s the rustling of old feelings, kissing, and sleeping bag sharing. Like, if I could live inside a favorite PJo episode forever it would be this one.

I’m also particularly obsessed with the moment he tells her that their relationship - him and her - was perhaps only thing in his life that “ever made total and complete sense” to him. *cries forever*

2) The “I remember everything” moment while they’re dancing at the Anti-Prom. The. angst. rips. me. to. shreds. but it’s everything!

3) When Pacey buys Joey a wall. Then, episodes later, paints “ask me to stay” in big red letters. Look, I know Dawson is the creative one, the idealist at heart, but Pacey totally takes the cake when it comes to romantic gestures, okay? Forever and always.

4) “Being in love with you is enough for me.” Selfless love declarations mess me up so EXCUSE ME WHILE I FLY INTO THE SUN.

5) 3x19′s Stealing Kisses is full of lots of little gems, too, what with them bickering about their butts touching when they’re forced to share a bed to “it made me feel alive” to being caught making out by Aunt Gwen.

6) How about when Pacey pulls off to the side of the road, jumps out of the car, and plants one on Joey because he’s tired of talking? And what’s fabulous is  she LETS him kiss her. Then, you know,  subsequently freaks out, shoving him backwards like he has cooties or something, once she comes to her senses. 

7) In 3x09 when their dance instructor comments on their “strong sexual tension.” Dawson, Joey, and Pacey are oblivious - however, Jen is not - and it makes me snort with laughter every time.

8) This one’s pretty self-explanatory.

9) I’m also partial to their scenes in s1′s “Double Date” because it’s the first time we see them interacting more one-on-one. You can see a flicker of something there between them. A spark that’s not yet ready to ignite, but will someday.

I *know* people are seeing Betty reach out.. and some are even saying she was the first. However, I beg to differ.

Fangs looked far more concerned—as well as Tabitha. Betty though? I just... I don’t see it.

Call me a Negative Nancy.. but whatever happens with Bughead—they won’t be the same Bughead we’re used to. I dunno.

Who knows, it might be my optimism (and my Bughead-addicted heart) talking, but I think they’ll find their way back to each other, and they (Betty in particular, because we’ve all seen Jug’s yearning looks) will learn to admit to themselves that their story isn’t over.
