People call her the "safe, boring, bland" love interest for a character when not only is this not true, she's also not just his love interest! She's her own character! And she loves unions and melting cops eyeballs from their skullsπ It is truly nauseating looking at what people say about her....

tabitha is a gabriella not just because she's a sweetheart but also you have to keep in mind a crucial gabriella trait is leaving. she is leaving troy which to me is entirely justified okay but also she remains kind of absent from the main conflict undergone by troy/wildcats/theatre people. she is a nerd!! she is doing academic decathalon or whatever while troy is basketballing. i hear you say but this is also true of taylor and martha! they are not as important as gabriella. gabriella shapes the story via her leaving in that she always gets a song about it > tabitha becomes an angel pulls herself from the narrative so everyone else can survive. difference is gabriella can come back. tabitha can't.
