does anyone feel the layer of plexiglass between themselves and the rest of the world or is that just a me thing

the truth is that love requires effort. you have to invest. you have to give, but also receive. love is not a one-sided contract. you have to water each other. you have to take care of each other. love isn't easy, but the effort is worth it when it's reciprocated.

why is the doctor who fandom so awful. like. idk who needs to hear this (actually yes i do, but i won't name names) but fic writers literally never owe you anything. fic writing is fucking hard and it takes time and effort and to go and shit all over someone's work which is FREE because the story didn't go how you wanted is absolutely inappropriate and immature behavior, and to then go around and talk about it on multiple websites after leaving horrible rude comments and asks on tumblr is fucking harassment. grow up fr.

You deserve the love that you keep trying to give to others. You deserve the patience you show others. You deserve to be understood and seen and, most importantly, to be treated with respect.

"oh, she knows" is so devastating to me because she does, she can't not know but she wants to hear, needs to hear it because otherwise it'll never go farther than fond looks shared between them, kisses on the cheek and forehead, and handholding for longer than necessary. she needs him to confront his feelings the way she so desperately wants to because she has so much love for him inside of her and she wants to share it with him fully but he can never take that last step. it's heavy, his love for her, and she's strong enough to carry it but he can't burden her with it. it's bad enough he's let it get this bad but how could he not love her?
