THE MOST SIMPLISTIC THING IS THE CUTEST PART!!!! I was seeing it clear in my head and it just adds to their growing relationship and itโs just soooo cute
โฏโฏ The way I got scared when the Eyes popped out. Why they filmed that part like a demonic horror film??? Coming out like witches ๐ญThat was a real jump scare like my heart dropped or I was just real scared for my girl knowing what they be doing to the handmaids. Need the next episode like yesterday ๐คฒ๐ฝ
Please write more parts of โSomething About Youโ I just got a scholarship to Xavier University of Louisiana so this feels like a little celebration request. Jokingโฆ (not really ๐ญ ) ily sm. Iโm not rushing you at all, I just really love the story and would be so happy for an update whenever you have time.๐ค
โฏโฏ AYEEEEE CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Iโm definitely and always working on an update. Already have a chapter done, just needs mad editing. I always take a day or 2 break when finished so I can come back with a clear mind โ BUTTT itโs being worked on. Tryna get it out before my vacation cause I ainโt doing nothing during that time. Idk if youโre reading SAY exclusively on here, but itโs up to 23 chapters through ao3 and wtp. Iโve just been waaaaaaay behind on cross-posting here. Procrastinating really. But if youโve already caught up, Iโm working on it !!!! Thank you for reading frfr and good luck on your journey ๐ค
โฏโฏ Iโm sorry but Iโm not gagging at Agnes and Garth. Itโs not even about their age difference bc even if they were close in age, thereโs no appeal. Agnes forming this crush and discovering new feelings and wants through this it as she grows into womanhood is fine and completely normal. Idc really. But if it develops moreโฆ.idk. I donโt see it. Agnes has more appeal with her friends than Garth who just stares and does his job ๐ญ

โฏโฏ my toxic trait, thatโs not really toxic, is that I love updating and publishing new fics past midnight while everyone on my side of the world is asleep. Less stressful and not as much anxiety or adrenaline of staying up (sometimes) to see the response of others. So enjoy! Iโm going to sleep ๐ค

ย ย ย ย ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐โ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐. Since the moment she relayed Gramโs instructions to Elena about needing her necklace to destroy the main connection to the witchโs hold, sheโs been quiet. Distant. Avoiding eye contact and humming random songs to keep her from talking. And that was weird.
ย ย ย ย Sheโs never just quiet. Or distant. Or avoiding eye contact and sure as hell wouldnโt let a song stop her yapping. Somethingโs up but Bonnie was too distracted with all this other bullshit to address it.ย
ย ย ย ย According to Elena, Damon had the necklace. According to Damon, heโs hidden it in his room thatโs currently being raided from top to bottom. His bedroom was far too big to search every nook and cranny, but they did because time was vital.
ย ย ย ย But there was no necklace.ย
ย ย ย ย Damon also wasnโt picking up his phone.ย
ย ย ย ย Carolineโs head perked toward the front door where creaking followed beneath someoneโs quickening footsteps. She stood protectively at Bonnieโs side, only to both sigh with relief when Lucy busted through the door.ย Sheโs dressed in a loose baby blue button-up shirt paired with grey sweats she didnโt own, which meant she got lucky. But she didnโt appear happy about her win. No, she was covered in sweat. Out of breath like she ran here. Most of the buttons were in the wrong hole and sheโs barefoot.ย
ย ย ย ย Bonnie rushed around Caroline to her cousinโs side. โLucy? What the hell happened? Are you okay?โ
ย ย ย ย โNo, Iโm not.โ She breathed deeply to catch her breath, pushing back her sweated-out silk press. By this time, Caroline left and returned in seconds with a cold glass of water. โFirst, why the fuck was I just having a tug-a-war battle with your Gramsโmy cousinโon the last bottle of rum? Second, how the fuck is it possible that my crazy ass very dead toxic ex-witch boyfriend walks in on me andโTod, Toby, Timmy, whatever the fuck with a Tโtrying to light both our asses on fire? What the fuck is going on Bonnie and why do I feel like you had something to do with it?โ
ย ย ย ย Bonnie narrowed her gaze. โIt somewhat has something to do with me. Most of it.โ She admitted and her cousin groaned disappointedly.ย
ย ย ย ย Anything more could trigger Lucy into going off on Bonnie so she kept her lips shut. As fun of a person she was, she didnโt play when it came to partaking in her guardian role. Itโs crazy how a twenty-year-old woman held her breath as if she was ten. Lucy wasnโt even that old, in her early thirties. And yet, when her head tilted with an arched brow, her hand on her hip, her index finger tapping vigorously, giving that look any Black person knew to heed cautiouslyโBonnie heeded.ย
ย ย ย ย โOkay,โ Lucy downed the water as if preparing herself for whatโs to come. โTell me exactly what you did and how we can fix this? I donโt have long until my ex finds me and I need that man gone expeditiously.โย ย
ย ย ย ย Bonnie explained from the top of how everything unfolded the way it did. There were parts Lucy remembered, but clearly, a lot of details were purposefully left out. She knew how sheโd react and did everything to avoid it until no other choice was left. And trust, Lucy gave an earful.
ย ย ย ย After placing the empty glass on a random dresser, Lucy checked out Caroline who was currently searching the pillowcases. โSo what is she doing here? Moral support?โ
ย ย ย ย Carolineโs head snapped in their direction. โWhat?โ
ย ย ย ย Lucy opened her mouth to repeat what she just said, but Bonnie interrupted. โSheโs helping us look for the necklace.โ She told her cousin.
ย ย ย ย The crease between her brows deepened. โWith what exactly? Vampire sight that still hasnโt gotten us anywhere? If the necklace youโre looking for is the exact talisman thatโs fueling this witch, what part does a vampire play in witch business?โ
ย ย ย ย โYou donโt have to be here, you know?โ Caroline snapped. โThereโs plenty of areas to hide from your crazy murderous ex. A flight back to New York is a great suggestion.โ
ย ย ย ย โAnd leave my cousin in your hands? I think not.โ Lucy flipped her silk press over her shoulder. โLook how great that turned out.โ
ย ย ย ย Caroline stepped forward to go at it, but stopped at Bonnieโs raised hand. Now wasnโt the time and her cousin was clearly onto something that she overlooked. โWhat do you suggest?โ She asked.ย
ย ย ย ย โWeโre witches,โ Lucy motioned between them, waiting for Bonnie to catch on. โLooking for a talisman infused with magic.โ
ย ย ย ย โWe can locate it.โ She concluded.ย
ย ย ย ย โEven better. We can feel it.โ
ย ย ย ย โThis house is old and filled with magical stuff, weโd never find it in time.โ Bonnie countered.
ย ย ย ย โNot if we focus on the object weโre looking for.โ Lucy beckoned her forward and prompted she close her eyes. Bonnie listened. โI want you to picture the talisman. Every last detail you remember about it. Once you draw that image, I want you to focus on the magic that comes from it. It should feel like a thread leaving your body, guiding you straight to it.โ
ย ย ย ย Carolineโs voice interrupted her train of thought. โOkay, well, while you do that, Iโm calling Elena. Sheโs gotta know something to help us if this magical thread thing falls through.โ
ย ย ย ย Bonnie ignored her discouragement and focused on the talisman as Lucy instructed. Something about Carolineโs sudden doubt in her capabilities encouraged her to push harder and faster to succeed. So she mapped out every detail from memory. The silver chain. The antique-looking pendant in the shape of an oval. The swirls embedded within its simple shape, like it was protecting the red ruby with a vervain built with it. If one looked closely, they could see the crushed plant shifting inside.ย
ย ย ย ย โI got it,โ Bonnie shared.
ย ย ย ย โGood. Now push.โ
ย ย ย ย Once the image was locked in her brain, Bonnie pushed out her magic as if it were an invisible force, seeking another source of magic to latch onto. Carolineโs voice was heard in the background, muffled. Bonnie pushed harder. Lucy was somewhere telling her not to push too hard and let it flow naturally. So close to feeling this magical thread connecting to the location of the talisman, her focus shifted by something Caroline said.ย
ย ย ย ย โWhat happened? Did the talisman fight back?โ Lucy was closer than before, likely examining her body for any sign of magic fatigue.
ย ย ย ย Bonnie ripped open her eyes, nearly breaking her neck as she spun toward Caroline hanging up the call. โWhat are you talking about?โ She questioned, knowing damn well what she heard.
ย ย ย ย โUm,โ Caroline didnโt look as if she didnโt know where to start, but like she didnโt know what to reveal. She swallowed thickly, fidgeting with the dark green material of her shirt. โLexiโs backโฆso Elena wants us to hold off on destroying the necklace.โ
ย ย ย ย Lucy scoffed. โHell no. Does she think sheโs the only one with ghost problems? Some of us are in life-or-death situations. Iโm not waiting for some White girl I donโt know.โ
ย ย ย ย Just like Damon. Bonnie prayed his faith ended with death.ย
ย ย ย ย But that wasnโt what she was talking aboutโwhich was another conversation to haveโnor what she heard.ย
ย ย ย ย โNo, you said boyfriend dramas.โ Bonnie grabbed her friendโs arm when she attempted to escape confrontation. โWhat is it, Caroline? I know youโre hiding something from me. Tell me.โ
ย ย ย ย Unable to hold it in any longer, โElena caught Jeremy kissing Anna.โ
ย ย ย ย Her grip on Caroline released. โWhat?โ
ย ย ย ย โIโm sorry, Bonnie.โ
ย ย ย ย Lucy kissed her teeth and poorly mumbled her comment under her breath. โExactly why you donโt date best friendsโ brothers.โ
ย ย ย ย Caroline glared at Lucy with her arms crossed, but she didnโt say anything to disapprove her comment because she secretly agreed with it too.ย
ย ย ย ย Bonnie chewed the inside of her cheek so the pain kept her from crashing out. Itโs moments like this where drinking took away what she didnโt want to deal with. To lose her connection with the witches and nearly her magic to save the same guy who cheated on her with a fucking ghost who died over a year ago was embarrassing.ย
ย ย ย ย She loved Jeremy. She trusted him. She grew up with him. She gave up pieces of herself and even risked her relationship with her best friend to be with him. And while she saved his life multiple times for Elenaโs benefit, she also helped to selfishly keep him alive to be with her.ย
ย ย ย ย Just to be defeated and quickly replaced by Anna. A ghost. A very dead ghost who wonโt mean anything after the talisman is destroyed.ย
ย ย ย ย She could die from embarrassment. Or from the pain twisting deep in her heart, her lungs deprived of oxygen as air choked down her throat. Her breathing picked up and she grew hot, tears rushing to fill her sight. A mixture of emotions swirled.ย
ย ย ย ย It hurts so fucking much.ย
ย ย ย ย Bonnie was left out in the odds compared to her friends whoโve experienced a range of relationships and countless hookups. Itโs not like she didnโt want to experience a good fuck behind the schoolโs bleachers during home games in high school and in collegeโif not counting those she'd sneak in the house past ten while Grams was passed out drunk to hook up withโand she sure didnโt make that list of top ten people sheโd fuck for nothing. Nor was she lacking attention from men. Growing up popular and always hanging around the popular scene had men and women flocking in her direction. She just wanted more than sex. Something deep and intimate. Raw and beautiful. Obsessive and possessive in the best and worst way possible.
ย ย ย ย She wanted love. Something real enough to mean somethingโeverything to someone that wouldnโt regard her as a one-night memory, or leave her as all the men and women in her life had.ย
ย ย ย ย Jeremy was special, so she thought. He was her first real boyfriend, her first love, and he ruined it.ย
ย ย ย ย Bonnie didnโt know what to do but every choice was tempting; kill him. Kill everyone in this room to save face. Find someone to fuck in front of him to make him regret cheating on me. Beg he stay with me. Just pack my shit and leave. And worst of all, drink myself to death to numb the pain of my broken heart.ย
ย ย ย ย Bonnie was yanked from her violent thoughts by a voice fighting to push through the void sheโd rather sink into. โLook,โ Caroline wiped her tears, offering a comforting smile. โSheโs got a foothold now so she probably thinks that sheโs here to stay. But you and I, and your cousin,โ she added that part with an irritated bite. โweโre gonna find that necklace.โย
ย ย ย ย Maybe I should kill him? Bonnieโs thoughts continued to convince her to commit multiple crimes. Seems right after all Iโve done. This could be the only way to set back what Iโve disturbed.
ย ย ย ย Bonnie shook her head, shaking off the temptation. She could never. That wasnโt who she was. She paused.
ย ย ย ย Unlessโฆ
ย ย ย ย Caroline grabbed her shoulders and gave a good shake. โOkay?โ Her pepper-green eyes stared into Bonnieโs soul, impatiently awaiting her confirmation.ย
ย ย ย ย Bonnie didnโt realize she was staring off into space until the shake. There wasnโt much she could do but stare. Luckily, Caroline didnโt push for a verbal answer and took her silence as agreement. She looked more pained than Bonnie like she was the one who got cheated on, though she knew the feeling better than anyone else. This was Bonnieโs first experience. One last run along the bare shoulders of her haltered top and she was back to searching for the necklace, though sheโd look back every now and then to be sure her friend wouldnโt do anything stupid.
ย ย ย ย Like preserving her pride by killing Jeremy, stupid.
ย ย ย ย Lucy stood quietly, but her lips were slightly parted as her tongue grazed the inside of her cheek. She clearly had something to say. She always did.
ย ย ย ย โDonโt,โ Bonnie dismissed any and every attempt before it was made.
ย ย ย ย A softer look filled her brown eyes. โBonnieโโ
ย ย ย ย โJust donโt,โ her voice thick with emotions she tried to swallow. โPlease?โ
ย ย ย ย With a nod, she turned around and headed across the room toward Damonโs bed, plopping down with a deep sigh with her hands shoved between her thighs. โIโd stop searching then. Thereโs no point. The necklace isnโt hereโI donโt sense it anywhere in the house. Thoughโฆโ Lucy met Bonnieโs gaze and didnโt hide her frown as she said, โit was here. In the bathroom somewhere but itโs been taken.โ
ย ย ย ย โTaken?โ Caroline inquired.
ย ย ย ย โBy someone on the other side. I sense their presence, the death that lingers, and Iโm sure you can too Bonnie.โ
ย ย ย ย Caroline threw her head back with a dramatic groan. โThereโs like, hundreds of wandering ghosts in Mystic Falls, all with a reason to steal that damn necklace. Weโre never finding that piece of crap!โ
ย ย ย ย Bonnie felt her pulse quicken, feeling hot all over again with realization. She sensed it too, just as Lucy said. And knew exactly who to suspect. โBut only one knows exactly where to look.โ She gritted through her teeth.
ย ย ย ย The crease between Carolineโs brows deepened, now catching on.
ย ย ย ย Just on cue, Jeremy called Bonnie again. Her phone was placed on the dresser to keep her from getting distracted and even silenced it, but its flashing light still alerted her of his irritating presence.ย
ย ย ย ย Caroline kissed her teeth and rushed around to answer the phone, which Bonnie was grateful for. She wanted nothing to do with Jeremy. Didnโt even want to hear his voice or any excuses Caroline pressed on about, so she left the bedroom to find solitude elsewhere. Somewhere like the Salvatoreโs infamous liquor collection. The first floor was a drunken heaven. Bottles displayed everywhere within reach to comfort her broken heart and tempt anyone into solemn cravings.
ย ย ย ย She listened for Lucy and Caroline to confirm they were still upstairs before she grabbed a random glass and filled it to the rim. Didnโt care to look at the name. Didnโt care to fill it with ice. Didnโt care if it hadnโt been cleaned and was stained with someone elseโs lips. As long as it took her mind from reality, thatโs all that mattered.ย
ย ย ย ย There was a moment of hesitation though. Gramโs voice in the back of her head, reminding her not to end up like her. But she wasnโt here to stop her, likely getting back into her old habits herself. Plus, this was the last time, the last drink. Bonnie swore it. After tonight, she wasnโt touching another bottle.ย
ย ย ย ย So she threw back her head and downed the drink within seconds, itโs burn comforting and painful at the same time. She poured another glass, only to sip it halfway when Caroline and Lucy emerged from the hallway into the living room. Lucy frowned at the glass Bonnie was poorly hiding while Caroline continued to inform everyone of another uprising danger.ย
ย ย ย ย The ghost of the Tomb Vampires killed Tobias Fell, a member of one of the founding families. They were running on limited time to find that necklace before they alphabetically started killing through the founding families.
ย ย ย ย Lucy appointed herself as the designated driver when Bonnie grabbed her keys to get that necklace herself. Time was wasting and the one person who had it was playing with everyoneโs lives, clinging onto the past sheโd never be granted to relive or continue.
ย ย ย ย Bonnie didnโt fight her cousin and got into the passenger seat, slouching against the window, zoned out in her thoughts. Caroline occupied the backseat.
ย ย ย ย Maybe I shouldโฆย
ย ย ย ย During the drive toward the townโs festivities, Jeremy called again and Bonnie was grateful Caroline picked up to confirm he had the necklace. No shocker. So Lucy abruptly turned down another street, heading toward the abandoned house instead. It was then that they came across a horrific car accident. Mrs. Lockwood was bleeding out unconscious. Familiar dead faces of the Tomb Vampires stalked toward her.ย
ย ย ย ย No matter the many times Bonnie offered her help when Caroline decided to intervene, it was quickly agreed that she had a bigger role to play. One that would save everyoneโs life.
ย ย ย ย Grams was at the abandoned house already setting up for the spell. Lucy prepared the actual spell to destroy the link between a witch and an object before destroying it, which was actually much harder to unlink than it was between anotherโs life. All while Bonnie stood aside, chuckling whenever her Grams muttered snappy remarks toward Lucy and the way her house has become with them two living there and how they should keep her place.ย
ย ย ย ย โBonnie!โ
ย ย ย ย Jeremy came rushing downstairs with the necklace in his hand. Bonnie was so numbed and devoided from her feelings that even the slightest thought of killing him didnโt tempt her anymore. He waited for her to say something. Anything. Do something to prove she cared and she was angry with him, but truly, he waited for her reaction to help navigate the situation better.ย
ย ย ย ย She snatched the necklace without a word and tossed it in the fire, already starting the de-linking spell. She, Grams, and Lucy joined hands to channel each other. It took longer than expected to delink the bond before starting the other spell to destroy it, one that Bonnie knew by heart.ย
ย ย ย ย The flames intensified, its searing heat hot and oddly comforting against Bonnieโs skin. And soon enough, flares sparked and the necklace was finally destroyed. All the magic from the necklace dispersed.ย
ย ย ย ย Which meant all the ghosts from the other side including Grans and Anna no longer gained a foothold in this realm.ย
ย ย ย ย โYouโre stronger than all of this,โ Grams squeezed her hand, her voice soft but filled with hope. โWish I said it more often, but I am so proud of you.โ
ย ย ย ย The warmth in Bonnieโs hands disappeared, replaced by a cool breeze and an empty connection to Gramโs power. Too afraid to look over, she stared at the fire, rapidly blinking away her tears to prove just how strong she appeared to everyone else but herself.ย
ย ย ย ย The floor creaked behind them and Jeremyโs voice fought through the numbing of her ears. โBonnieโฆโ he called out, seeking her attention.ย
ย ย ย ย Lucy gave a supportive squeeze, wiped her tears, and whispered, โIโll be in the car. Try not to kill him, at least for tonight. Avoid his pretty face if you do.โ
ย ย ย ย The corner of her lips merely lifted at the thought. It wasnโt a promise Bonnie could make at the moment, but she also wasnโt in the mood to make the effort. Sheโs exhausted, barely drunk, and couldnโt spend another minute in this damned town.ย
ย ย ย ย โJust go away, Jeremy.โ She said once Lucy was upstairs and making her way outside.
ย ย ย ย โI owe you an explanation.โ
ย ย ย ย A bitter scoff tickled the back of her dry throat. โMatt let go of a sister before you let go of Anna. His sister, Jeremy.โ
ย ย ย ย Bonnie stood before him to see what pathetic excuse heโd come up with next to her face. Those sad brown eyes that once had her only to look at. Those lips that once kissed her as if she was the only woman in his world, were those same lips that once fought against everyone about the risk she took to save them. Those arms that once caught every fall, held her close at night, wiped her tears, pleased her. Jeremy was so easy to love that even now, it was hard to leave. Even harder to hate him. But she knew her worth and loved herself too much to stay.
ย ย ย ย โYou know what you owe me? The respect of not making me listen to you explain yourself.โ
ย ย ย ย โI am sorry, Bonnie.โ
ย ย ย ย Bonnie looked away, fueled by her Gramโs parting words the second she almost caved. โWeโre done.โ
ย ย ย ย His eyes widen with shock. โBonnieโโ
ย ย ย ย โJust go, Jeremy. I have nothing else to say to you.โ She turned her back to him, her tears unable to stop now as pain twisted her heart. Her nails dug even deeper into her palms as she gritted through her teeth, โGo before I do something I might regret.โ
ย ย ย ย He lingered a bit longer, closer, like he couldnโt leave their conversation as it was. Their relationship had come a long way and been through too much bullshit to end it like this, but Bonnie was serious. She couldnโt do this anymore. She could excuse anything else but drew the line at cheating. Nothing could ever mend her trust once betrayed.ย
ย ย ย ย Finally getting that through his thick skull, Jeremy left. It was the only time she could breathe and cry freely without interruption to process the events of today.
ย ย ย ย Sparks flew from the fire and startled Bonnie. She wiped her tears and stepped closer, red eyes squinting at something sitting in the ash. A silver necklace. Elenaโs necklace. It stood perfectly intact.
short summary: s3 Bonnie-centric, Klonnie rewrite ; Bonnie canโt ever leave behind the supernatural world without it somehow involving her. And without Klaus leaving her alone.(Full summary in YF&L Masterlist )
chapter summary: Bonnie has accepted that no matter where she goes, the supernatural bullshit follows her there. At least this time she isnโt dealing with alone, but it doesnโt protect her heart from the past. Or ghosts crossing over to handle unfinished business that all ties to Elenaโs necklace. A mistake on her end.
a/n: this is the 1st chapter of my au longfic based off TVD. All warnings are listed in the Masterlist, read at your discretion, but if thereโs a warning I missed lmk! Please keep in mind that this is a rewrite; if I didnโt mention something, itโs either not important to the story I wish to tell is discovered later on or happens bts (show-version).
ย ย ย ย Between grappling with her witch heritage, vampires wreaking havoc on Mystic Falls, werewolves hunting vampires, saving Elena who might be Katherine in disguise, protecting the town, Damon, risking her connection to consecrated witches to save her boyfriend who was seeing his dead girlfriends, the originalโs drama, watching people die around her including Grams, college, and handling endless supernatural bullshitโpeace was a luxury that was hard to come by.ย
ย ย ย ย To assume it would all disappear once graduating from Mystic Falls High to attend Whitmore Collegeโnow a sophomoreโwas foolish on her end. An understatement.ย
ย ย ย ย The bullshit followed her there.ย
ย ย ย ย And being the loyal friend Bonnie was, she learned to accept whatever faith had in store because a world without her best friends wasnโt the world she wanted to live in.
ย ย ย ย โฆBut there has been lingering exhaustion, upholding certain expectations beyond where Bonnie felt secure in her magic and in herself. Especially as a late-bloomer witch. Sheโd been practicing magic with her distant cousin, Lucy, and learning how to express herself without pushing her body too far. Sheโd also been trying to heal after losing Grams, but even then, focusing was rendered useless because when someone needed Bonnie, she was thereโwhether she had a choice or not.
ย ย ย ย She was grateful though to Lucy for reaching out shortly after the Lockwoods' masquerade ball. With her father always on the road as a truck driver, and other secrets she refused to accept, left Bonnie not only to grieve by herself but to fend for herself too. It was too much responsibility as a minor, on top of what her friends needed from her and what she needed from herself. Thatโs when everything started to fall apart.ย
ย ย ย ย Nothing mattered anymore.ย
ย ย ย ย Death was worth the experience more than living.
ย ย ย ย Then Lucy showed up at Gramsโ doorstep with a grieving cake coated in black icing with raspberry filling, her bags nearly covering the entire creeky porch. That was the day she chose to become Bonnieโs legal guardian. The day when each room brightened in ways Bonnie thought would forever dull.ย
ย ย ย ย Though waking up to a new seasonal fling parading naked around the house, or to small social events taking up space in the living room wasnโt in the cards, Bonnie wouldnโt change a thing. She needed her company. Someone. Family. Anyone who cared enough. And as time went by, she learned that Lucy needed hers too. She became the big sister Bonnie never had.ย
ย ย ย ย She reminded Bonnie to loosen up. To not grow up too fast as she had and to enjoy life as it unfolded. Even got her back into cheerleading and eventually joined the schoolโs dance team. Her positive influence actually had her excited to attend cringy school events she once thought useless even as a popular girl, like school dances and extracurricularsโฆEven if they were ruined in the end.
ย ย ย ย But it wasnโt just her who got Bonnie back on track, Jeremy did too. He helped for a while and advocated for her when no one else did.
ย ย ย ย They had something she was sure would last forever or for as long as the supernatural world didnโt come to claim their lives. But she was wrong. Dating her best friendโs boyfriend was so not in anymore and another lesson learned.
ย ย ย ย Bonnieโs phone buzzed for the hundredth time. Seeing it was Jeremy continuing his daily routine which became a habit now, she rolled her eyes with a groan and tossed her phone to the ground. She had better things to focus on than whatever bullshit excuse heโd pull out of his ass.
ย ย ย ย She grabbed the basket of colorful lanterns and climbed the ladder to complete the trees. Caroline, nosy as expected, caught Jeremyโs name flashing across the screen now covered in dirt. She frowned.
ย ย ย ย โSo when you did the spell to send Vicki away, did that get rid of Anna too?โ Caroline asked, while using her vampire strength to hold down the shaky ladder.
ย ย ย ย If Bonnie had it her way, she wouldโve been rotting in bed binging romantic comedies and tragic movies with tragic endings just to give her a reason to cry. But Lucy opened the blinds, turned off the TV, and pushed her out of bed. It was important to show face and prove no boy was worth the tears, as she preached. And by showing face, meant signing her up to volunteer at the Night of Illuminations festival.
ย ย ย ย As a โvolunteerโ but also a wing woman to help her cousin lure some hot guy she met at the Mystic Grill to her bed. Her cousinโฆwho was somewhere around here. A sign of luck she supposed. Not so much on her end.
ย ย ย ย โI wish, but all I did was block the magic that was helping Vicki get a physical foothold here.โ Caroline moved aside as Bonnie climbed down. She still held the ladder. โJeremyโs still got a direct line to the other side, and as long as he wants to see Anna and she wants to see himโฆsheโs still here.โ
ย ย ย ย โOkay, you donโt think I can actually resist commenting on that?โ
ย ย ย ย โThere. You commented.โ
ย ย ย ย Bonnie walked away, stepping over her phone without sparing it a glance. An ache took hold of her chest, just where her heart struggled to keep her alive. It grew sharper the more she withheld her tears. Her frustration. Her problem that she created once again for someone unworthy of her saving.ย
ย ย ย ย Carolineโs shoulders sank with a heavy sigh. โBonnieโฆโ
ย ย ย ย A frustrated groan tickled her chest as she spun around. โWhat do you want me to say, Caroline? I went against the balance of nature when I brought Jeremy back to life, and now Iโm paying for the consequences.โ
ย ย ย ย She snatched the colorful lanterns from her hands as if holding them hostage for a better answer. When Bonnie tried snatching them back, Caroline held them high and far back over her head.ย
ย ย ย ย Bonnie glared at her friendโs playful nature. โAre you fucking with me? Iโm not in the mood to be fucked with.โ
ย ย ย ย โGood. Be in a mood, anything other than this sunshine-and-rainbows bullshit act youโre forcing.โ Caroline said. Her blue eyes softened, catching the flicker of something raw Bonnie failed to conceal. โI see it, Bon. Iโm here for you. I just want you to say youโre not okay with it.โ
ย ย ย ย โIโm a thousand times not okay with it. I just,โ Bonnie choked, resisting the urge to cry. โI just donโt know what to do about it. It hurts, Care. So fucking much itโs like Iโm screaming out to the void.โ
ย ย ย ย Caroline reached out a hand and rubbed Bonnieโs shoulder, some reddish brown curls tangled around her fingers, down to her arm before pulling her into a hug. โLetโs scream together.โ Her breath tickled her neck, squeezing tighter. โI got some shit to scream about too and could use a screaming buddy. Howโs tonight?โ
ย ย ย ย Bonnie desperately needed a screaming buddy and was grateful for the offer. โI guess Iโm free.โ She managed to say without choking again.
ย ย ย ย โโCourse youโre free. Itโs holiday weekend. One more day until weโre back on campus, slaving for our degree. And me, compelling Anthony Green not to steal my segment for extra credit before I can present it first.โ
ย ย ย ย That got a chuckle out of Bonnie.
ย ย ย ย Over Carolineโs shoulder, a blue Chevrolet was speeding down the street with no care for civilians or the speed limit. Its tires screeched as the driver parked recklessly along the side of the road. To no oneโs surprise, itโs Damon. Dressed in his usual long-sleeved V-neck shirts and dark jeans, looking gloomy as ever which was more common than his murderous face.
ย ย ย ย Bonnie rolled her eyes with a curse under her breath.
ย ย ย ย โGreetings, Blondie.โ Damon greeted, but was more cautious than teasing-like when greeting Bonnie. Almost as if he knew what kind of mood she was in. โWitchy.โ
ย ย ย ย Caroline pulled away first from the hug with a heavy sigh. She flipped her blonde curls, not happy with her nickname. โGreat. The townโs most hated is here to prove why heโs the townโs most hated.โ She said with fake enthusiasm which Bonnie laughed at.
ย ย ย ย His lips pressed into a tight smile before turning his attention to Bonnie. โI think you got your voodoo wires all crossed when you got rid of Vicki Donovan.โ
ย ย ย ย Across the road, Matt looked back at the mentions of his sisterโs name. He was currently unloading decorations from his truck, now straining a vein to focus in on their conversation.ย
ย ย ย ย โWhat do you mean? Why?โ Bonnie questioned in a lower voice not to alarm Matt.
ย ย ย ย โโCause Iโm pretty sure I just got spit-roasted by Mason Lockwoodโs ghost.โ
ย ย ย ย โWhat?โ Bonnie exclaimed.ย
ย ย ย ย Caroline crossed her arms, nowhere near convinced as Bonnie was though she found his story ridiculous too. โWhy would you think that?โ She didnโt hide the bite in her tone, offended that someone would even question her ability.
ย ย ย ย โMaybe because he chained me to a chair and shoved a hot poker in my chest.โ He explained as if almost getting killed was a normal day for him and it was. The longer everyone stared at each other, the more Damon rethought his day. โLetโs just say Iโm having Deja vu.โ
ย ย ย ย Caroline turned to Bonnie with knitted brows. โI thought you said ghosts canโt physically interact with people?โย
ย ย ย ย โThey canโt.โ
ย ย ย ย โYeah, well, I donโt have time for a vengeful Lockwood,โ Damon said frustratingly. โWhen I kill someone, they're supposed to stay dead. Whatever you screwed up, fix it.โ
ย ย ย ย Smoke burned their nose as he sped off.ย
ย ย ย ย Bonnie bit the inside of her cheek until it bled, her nails pinching deep into the palms of her hands until it bled. Carolineโs gaze snapped down. Her nostrils flared at the scent, a concerned look flashing. Yet again, Bonnie was expected to save the day. Not even given the time to grieve her broken heart before she was to suppress her emotions until Mystic Falls benefited first.ย
ย ย ย ย But sheโll help. Of course, she would when it involved her friends. Those they have killed could return as Mason Lockwood had to get their revenge, and the outcome would fall on her. She started this the moment she sent Vicki away.ย
ย ย ย ย A hand wrapped itself around Bonnieโs clenched fist and she saw it was Caroline seeking to comfort her silent rage. โWhat can I do to help?โ
ย ย ย ย She somehow managed to unravel Bonnieโs fist, now holding her bloody hand to squeeze lightly without hurting her. Even with blood also on her hand she remained in control of her thirst. Moments like this reminded Bonnie that not all vampires were monsters and her friends were still themselves.
ย ย ย ย โIโm no good with spells but Iโm fantastic at holding books, compelling peopleโoh, and I can take out your competitionโฆas long as itโs not a ghost.โ Then she perked with a twisted grin. โUnless the cross can condemn Anna to hell! My mom has a huge fugly cross hanging in the kitchen like some deep Texas cultist. Iโm sure we can get it done and have her burning in hell in no time, saving the spot for Damon and everyone else whoโs crossed us.โ
ย ย ย ย A small smile cracked along Bonnieโs lips and she shook her head in disbelief, after considering it. โIโm gonna talk to Matt,โ she slipped her hand free and wiped the small smear of blood along her dark jeans. โSee if he actually kept his word and sent Vicki back.โ
ย ย ย ย She nodded. โIโll come too for moral support.โ
ย ย ย ย They crossed the street toward Matt struggling to move on with life in a way he shouldโve the first time around. Itโs obvious he hadnโt gotten a good nightโs rest. Working himself to the bone was his way of not dealing with grief, but everyone saw through the facade. The lingering stench from skipped showers, a growing stubble beard, alcohol strong on his breath, the bags under his eyes was another sign too.
ย ย ย ย This town thrived on misery. It was also a death sentence to those who couldnโt afford to leave.
ย ย ย ย Matt had fallen victim due to his poor upbringing and couldnโt just up and leave as everyone else could. He barely got accepted into college for Human Services if it wasnโt for Carolineโs compulsion. The only way he could make peace with this hellhole was to put one foot in front of the other even if it killed him in the end.
ย ย ย ย He reassured multiple times that Vicki was gone for good. Heโd know if she came back and expressed deeply that he wanted nothing to do with this ghost bullshit. Bonnie believed him. This wasnโt a man who was surrounded by the love and comfort of family, something she also could relate to in a way. He had no reason to lie. Certainly wouldnโt be able to hide it well in the state he was in.ย
ย ย ย ย But one thing was certain, Damon was right. Something went wrong removing the foothold Vicki had in this realm and the witch who helped. Bonnie needed to get to the bottom of it before it escalated. The quicker itโs solved, the quicker she could sulk in her broken heart.ย
ย ย ย ย Caroline bounced on the heels of her feet as they watched Matt walk away. A mischief look on her face as she โinnocentlyโ expressed, โIf only someone we knew was strong enough to leave the past in the past.โ
ย ย ย ย Bonnie sighed heavily, pushing back her ginger curls. โIโve got a ghost problem to deal with, Caroline. Save the Jeremy-lecture for later.โ
ย ย ย ย Even if she wasnโt wrong, it just wasnโt something she could get into without blaming herself. Sheโs done it enough already.
ย ย ย ย As Bonnie knelt to pick up her bag, one of the straps broke which caused everything to fall out. Including her Gramโs gifted grimoire she never let out of her sight. She cursed under her breath with a huff. Itโs like the universe knew she was having a shitty day and decided to add to it.ย
ย ย ย ย Just as she reached for her grimoire, the book magically opened with a strong gust of wind. Bonnie startled with a gasp.
ย ย ย ย Carolineโs eyes widened with shock. โOkay, did your grimoire justโโ
ย ย ย ย โI-I think so.โ
ย ย ย ย Bonnie picked up the heavy book to inspect the spell her ancestors or an intuition wanted her to see. The crease between her brows deepened as she tried to understand and translate pages sheโd never seen before or thought twice about reading. Whatever it was had to be important. It usually was.
ย ย ย ย โPlease tell me thatโs a recipe for witch cookies.โ Said Caroline, trying to be funny to make up for the fact that she couldnโt understand ancient language.
ย ย ย ย โItโs a manifestation spell.โ Bonnie read. She was even considerate enough to follow her finger along the words so her friend felt included as confused as she was. โItโs used to reveal veiled matter.โ
ย ย ย ย Still confused, โwhatโs veiled matter?โ
ย ย ย ย โGhosts.โ
โโโโโโ โโโโโโ
ย ย ย ย ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ at the abandoned witch burn site house located on the outskirts of Mystic Falls. A sacred place once used for generations of witches to practice magic was the same place that carried out their execution. Now just an empty place as their presence lingered, which was the perfect private spot to do the spell.ย
ย ย ย ย The witches here mightโve turned their backs but Bonnie would honor their legacy by practicing magic here. Should death find its place here to claim her, she welcomed it with a choice they werenโt given.ย
ย ย ย ย The basement was the perfect spot to set up. The smoky smell lingered off the burnt walls, threatening to suffocate her. This house had gone through many seasons and inhabited many rodents and insects it was literally a death hazard. Yet, its history here couldnโt be ignored.ย
ย ย ย ย โYou ready?โ Caroline asked after lighting the last candle. She likely turned around to find Bonnie already casting the spell. โRight. Okay.โ
ย ย ย ย On her knees with her hands stretched, she focused on the spell and the intention behind it to guarantee its success. The presence of magic surrounded her like drugs in her veins and she inhaled deeply to live off its high. Moments later, light wind picked up. Then it grew stronger, and stronger, and much stronger.ย
ย ย ย ย โBonnie, I donโt like this.โ Caroline panicked.ย
ย ย ย ย The spell required more channeling. More intention. More of her than she could handle, and Bonnie was determined. She refused to accept failure as her only choice even if it took everything from her. It was equally her greatest strength and her biggest flaw.ย
ย ย ย ย Dust filled her lungs the stronger the wind, but Bonnie didnโt stop. Spiderwebs tickled her and likely housed themselves tangled in her curlsโBonnie never stopped. She couldnโt once magic got involved. It was always hard to stop once started.ย
ย ย ย ย The floor creaked as footsteps struggled to find stable ground. โBonnie!โ Caroline screamed out. A warning that the environment was growing dangerously, and worried for her friend.
ย ย ย ย The wind stopped abruptly and the emptiness of her hands was replaced by the unexpected comfort of hands holding hers. Bonnie opened her eyes and stilled. Tears blurred her vision no matter how many times she blinked them away. Even then, her familiar features were prominent. Her smell was homey. Her short curls were still fresh. Her brown skin was still warm. Her gentle smile tugged at the strings of Bonnieโs heart, remembering her last offered smile seconds before death came for her.ย
ย ย ย ย Caroline gawked with her mouth hung wide. โOh my god. Is that yourโโ
ย ย ย ย โGrams?โ Bonnie choked out into a sob that felt like a mixture of emotions lightening the weight of her heart. โI canโt believe youโre here. I thoughtโฆI thought I lost you for good. Grams, Iโm so, so, soโI. When itโI shouldโveโI didnโtโfuck, Iโm s-s-soโฆโ Words refused to form properly, all fighting to make sense of her jumbled thoughts. Too afraid there wasnโt enough time in the world to express how deeply regretful she felt for not listening the first time. For not taking extra precautions. She shouldโve seen through Katherineโs tricks. She shouldnโt have ever trusted the Salvatores. She shouldโve let Elena figure it out.
ย ย ย ย Grams caressed her cheek, wiping her tears. โI know, baby, I know.โ She cooed, the soft tang in her accent warm and cozy. โNow stop your crying. We donโt have time for tears.โ
ย ย ย ย Bonnie nodded. Tears continued to unravel no matter how hard she tried to stop. She still mourned her grandmother, her death fresh on her heart like it was yesterday she found her dead in bed.ย
ย ย ย ย She missed the smell of hard liquor on her breath. Her endless drink babbling. School nights when Bonnie would receive calls from the Mystic Grill to take her Grams home as embarrassing as it was. She missed the food she cooked. The music she played while cleaning every Sunday morning. The bright mornings sheโd be forced to attend early service, hoping some God would answer her prayers while holding no close relationship to religion. She missed her laughter. The effort put into showing up to school functions when her father couldnโt, even if she was passed out drunk or getting over a hangover sheโd always make it. Late or over with. And most of all, she missed the bad days when nothing but endless shouting and curses and broken glass filled the house.ย
ย ย ย ย Those were days when Bonnie could confirm her Grams was alive and well as opposed to when sheโs knocked out drunk. Too many days were spent just standing in the corner of her bedroom, waiting for her chest to inflate, or hovering her two fingers under her nose every hour.
ย ย ย ย โNice to see you again, Caroline.โ
ย ย ย ย Caroline gave a small wave. โHi, Ms. Shelia.โ
ย ย ย ย โA fine mess youโve made, honey.โ Grams mentioned as if Bonnie needed another reminder of the shit sheโs stirred. โThe witches told you thereโd be consequences to bringing Jeremy back and you did it anyway.โ
ย ย ย ย โI didnโt have a choice.โ Bonnie wallowed in her guilt. โI love him and IโฆI couldnโt just let him go.โ
ย ย ย ย Her lips pressed thin, and if she was frustrated with Bonnie for putting a boy before her legacy she didnโt hide it well. โI understand, but youโve cracked open the door to the other side. Thereโs an old witch over there. She took advantage of it. She took advantage of you, honey. When you did that spell to send Vicki Donovan away, she wedged the door wide open, giving a free pass to anybody with unfinished business.โ
ย ย ย ย โHow do you know this?โ Bonnie asked, and Grams gave a look that was quickly recognized. Of course, sheโd know as nosy as she was. Sheโd gossip about anyone if it wasnโt about herself.ย
ย ย ย ย โWitches talk even on the other side.โ She said with pursed lips. โWho do you think makes all the rules?โ
ย ย ย ย Rules Bonnie continued to question. Life started and ended with witches. They were the true Gods on earth, the definition of judgment and justice, the bridge between good and evil, and life and death. They were the most disrespected yet sought out when the worldโs gone to shit, expected to take the fall for their demise.ย
ย ย ย ย โWhat does the witch want?โ She asked.
ย ย ย ย Grams shook her head as if her question was a sin to ask. โThatโs original vampire business. Not yours.โ She shut down immediately. โI donโt want you getting in the middle of that. Iโm here because you upset the balance of magic and itโs your duty to set it right. You need to close that door.โ
ย ย ย ย More tears threatened her face. โIโm only one person, Grams! This duty comes with too much burden thatโs already taken your life. I just want it to end.โ
ย ย ย ย โYouโre not just a person, youโre a Bennett witch. A powerful one at that. But you made that choice once you got yourself tangled with vampires. You donโt get to run away from your problems until youโve fixed them all. Thatโs the only way it ends.โ Her arms pulled Bonnie into a warm embrace, and she snuggled into the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent to keep forever. โItโs a lot, I know. But youโre not alone anymore. Caroline is here. Iโm here. And I see Miss Lucy done returned and got you back on track, but you tell her to stay out my damn liquor cabinet.โ
ย ย ย ย Bonnie laughed through her tears. โItโs not like you can drink any of it.โ
ย ย ย ย Grams hummed. โI see you have your favorites too.โย
ย ย ย ย Bonnie merely glanced at Caroline who was watching the exchange, now trying to make sense of what Grams whispered in her ear. Her face warmed with embarrassment.ย
ย ย ย ย โDonโt follow in my footsteps you hear,โ Grams said. โDrinking has ruined my life in every way possible. I lost my husband, too many jobs to count, my daughter, myself, and my ambition. Itโs even tainted the memories you have of me, itโs a miracle you didnโt up and leave. I wouldn't blame you if you did.โ
ย ย ย ย โI could never leave you, Grams.โ Bonnie hugged tighter. โYouโre the best and worst part of my life.โ
ย ย ย ย โHeavy on the worst.โ
ย ย ย ย They laughed at this and the memories that came to mind, but it didnโt last long when Caroline started asking the real questions which they came here for. โNot to ruin a beautiful moment, but how exactly do we close the door? Is there a lever or key of some sort?โ
ย ย ย ย Grams pulled away from the hug first despite Bonnieโs lingering, never wanting to break away. Her face was wet with salted tears and she didnโt want to think about her makeup, especially her mascara. She was careful wiping around her eyes for that reason.ย
ย ย ย ย Bonnie was helped to her feet after Grams stood to get down to business. Once that door was closed, could she leave behind this town and its infestation of vampires and drama behind.ย
this wouldโve taken up too much space so I decided to write it separately. Itโs very important to read before reading this fic to clear up any misunderstandings and save you from wasting your time if this isnโt the fic for you.
โ- THIS IS A SEASON 3 REWRITE WITH BONNIE BENNETT FRONT AND CENTER. While this fic follows the seasons closely, many canon scenes and plots have been altered to fit the story I wish to tell. We have all seen the show beforeโIโve admittedly watched The Originals more times than TVDโand therefore, we donโt need to read every detail of episodes word for word in reading format. Again. Especially if it serves no purpose to the rewrite. Events in the show that excluded Bonnie are still happening behind the scenes and will come to light as usual or if itโs important to Bonnieโs story. Some events have been tweaked, replaced, or simply removed because itโs unimportant to the story I wish to tell. Please donโt question who, what, when, where, and how when I gave you this disclaimer. Either be patient that itโs coming soon or accept itโs been removed.
โ I DO NOT HAVE ANY PERSONAL VENDETTA AGAINST MOST CHARACTERS. Once again, to reiterate with different words, this is a Bonnie-centered fic. Therefore, many of your favorite characters might not get their light shined. Your favorite scenes might not get written in. These characters are who they are as they were written in the show and as I perceived them, only a tad amplified and a bit more flawed. Character-growth is a thing. Some of your favorite characters might have it eventually, some wonโt. Itโs not because I hate them, which I can place aside to tell a story, itโs because it works best with the plot and story I wish to tell in this rewrite. Iโm only on Bonnieโs team and even she is flawed too. I just let the writing carry the story. But remember, what you donโt find here you can find elsewhere!
โ THIS IS NO PLACE FOR CAROLINE/KLAUS SHIPPERS. Whatever their ship name is, Iโm not on that side of the media. What you obviously wonโt find here can be found elsewhere! Donโt bring your baggage and think pieces here. I donโt care if Klaus said this to her or experienced this moment with her and whatever else. They arenโt the focus. There isnโt even a smidge of romance between them. Though I donโt like the ship, I wonโt go out my way in your circle to bash it cause I couldn't care less and know how to mind my business. We like what we like. Unfortunately, few have sent rude ass anonymous hate when I first started posting about this rewrite. I ignored it before, but donโt take my silence as submission because I enjoy a good back and forth, itโs just predictable discourse which isnโt fun. Respect my ship, Iโll respect yours.
โ THERE MAY BE SOME INACCURACIES whether it be college, some majors, lore shit, characters sounding a little ooc, etc. Most is intentional, some might be cause I genuinely forgot or I don't care it's a rewrite, or very little is cause of my lack of knowledge despite research and rewatching TVD to get in the characters' mindsets. I acknowledge it all so read for the fun of it. Not to learn from it. This is also my first ever canon x canon without a main oc. Give me grace.
โ BONNIEโS LIFE WASN'T EXPLORED AS MUCH compared to others. In this fic, Iโll be building off whatโs been known or mentioned about her background and other Bennett Witches and adding and twisting it into something I like. So if you ever question if something is canon or not, itโs likely not. BUT---Bonnie has reddish brown hair, a nod to the book but tweaked. Whitemore College is gonna be about twenty to thirty minutes away from Mystic Falls and not 2+ whatever hours away. Convenient for events that take place back in Mystic Falls.
Bonnie Bennett x Klaus Mikaelson (season 3 rewrite longfic)
Rating : Explicit

With Klaus unable to leave Bonnie aloneโand outside problems that never allows her a breath of airโforces her to question not only the company she keeps around; her morals which makes her who she is, her friends who keeps her grounded, her undying loyalty which never falters, her power that keeps her reassured, but this twisted feeling in her heart that desires something more. Otherwise, read at your own discretion <3
Tags : enemies to lovers, slow burn, college-setting, season 3 rewrite, toxic relationships, angst, more explored & added lore of Bonnie + other canon characters, more Black and of color characters who doesnโt die early on, Bonnie isnโt alone, Bonnie will put herself first, hate sex, Bisexual Bonnie, Bonnie attends the Mikaelson ball, Rebekah and Bonnie friendship, Kol possibly interested in Bonnie? (Letโs say she attracts evil), hurt and comfort, magic rooted in racial history + MORE TO DISCOVER WHILE READING
Disclaimer : this is somewhat too long to fit here because it would take up to much space, so I posted a very short but IMPORTANT disclaimers separately to read before reading. HERE
Update Schedule : slow. In no rush. Having fun. Whenever I feel like the chapter is done and perfected up to my standard. I care too much about the quality of my work to halfass or rush it + Bonnie deserves a good story the writers refused to give. Rushing me wonโt benefit anyone, but I donโt mind update status asks.
Where else to read : Ao3
(some ideas and small tweaks within this longfic was inspired by @cancerian-woman tvd opinions and rants, so credit rightfully goes to them)
CHAPTER MASTERLIST
< only posting 1st 5 chapters here so far, then youโll have to read the rest through ao3. Iโll still post chapter updates here. If youโd like to be tagged for both, lmk! And lmk whenever you wanna be untagged >

โ BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW shit about the books and the past and future of preexisting characters besides the shows and book spoilers/discussions from fans, I decided to create my own Targaryen House to push forth my own plot. Therefore, the relationship between my characters won't have much to do with MOST HOTD characters. It's basically an AU with original characters. For readers who don't know much about GOTU there won't be much of a problem following along if I'm being real โ there will be lots of Aerion Targaryen within my aesthetics solely because he's a perfect fc for my mmc Viseron. Picture whoever you want, Idc!
โ IN THIS WORK, Targaryens born with dragon-like defects such as dragon scales, tails, etc, are rare but aren't considered monstrous to those who know it's not. But rather considered as a rare miracle: 'Blood Closest To Dragons'
โ DESPITE RESEARCH, I'm still a foreigner to George's world and sadly, American. Dialogue, vocabulary, customs, especially political standpoints and preexisting relations established in the world may be accidentally overlooked, changed, or not live up to your expectations since I'm writing through my eyes and the story I wanna tell. But don't worry, no one's speaking modernly with slang. I mean things like Bar vs Tavern like mix-ups. Eitherway read for the fun of it, not to learn from it.
โ THOUGH THIS FIC IS DUO POV, it's mainly told in my fmc's {Sylvia} POV. Viseron {my mmc} has very few POVs compared to Sylvia. I can probably count on my hand how many but I'm not sure until I reach the other ones. Few but important.
โ PLEASE REMEMBER THIS FANFIC IS FICTION. Not real. None of the themes, relationship dynamics, and whatever else is questionable but widely a part of the GOTU does not reflect my character or views in reality. Aside from everyone being a little gay. I don't have time for moral discussions when you know what you're getting yourself into by clicking a HOTD fanfic. If you don't like it, don't read. Don't make it everyone else's problem. Cause honestly, I don't care. If I'm gonna write something wrong, I might as well write it as good as it can be as wrong as it is. Otherwise, let's keep it cute. Read for the fun of it, not to learn from it.
โ PLEASE DON'T REMAIN SILENT READERS FOREVER. It's fine not knowing what to say or being scared to say something from past interactions with other writers, but if you've made it pretty far in my fic then I'm sure there's something to say. There's no obligation and of course, show love in your own way, but I don't post for my books to be silently consumed. If that's the case then I would've kept it in my drafts for myself and a few friends to enjoy alone. I leave the comment section open for readers and respond when I want to and if I have to. Otherwise, do with that what you will.

Not rushing you or anything but what I gotta do for you to post your Klonnie fic now? You said if we bully you hard enough you might so Iโm bullying you now lol. Iโm so obsessed with them and the potential of them, and from reading your other tvd fic and the ideas you have for this one I know this fic will be up there for me. Bonnie deserves so much and it makes sense for her to be Klausโs love interest in s3
(btw I love your Klonnie edit. Iโve been rewatching it multiple times ^-^)
โฏโฏ ykwโฆIโve been in a really good mood lately so idk maybe I might up the deadline I gave myself. Maybe I might post the official masterlist post with a โcoming soonโ on there so itโs out. Lemme sleep it over to be sure of this decision and ensure itโs not a in the moment might regret type situation especially since Iโm exhausted rn so my impulses are high๐ญ but tysmmmmm frfr
( to know in the future, which Iโll repeat again when postedโbecause cross-posting been kicking my ass here with all the extra shit I gotta do compared to ao3 and wtp especially since itโs a longfic/multi-chapters, ima cross-post 5 chapters on here. And then the rest youโll have to read thru ao3. But Iโll still post update posts here so you know when Iโve updated. For those who donโt have ao3 or donโt check as much, I could maybe create a tag list so whenever I make those update post, youโll know. If that makes sense )
โฏโฏ tryna make this Klonnie fic TRUE enemies to lovers. No half-baked shit. No signs of lust at first sight or losing control of the body or already thinking about fucking, aside from Klaus as its canon he has a thing for witches. But I want them trying to kill each other at any chance they get, close enough to death, doom each otherโs futures in their own way and for their own benefit. I want them killing each other and maybe a kiss, or a quick fuck in the heat of the moment with so much hate they go back to killing each other. Or thinking about it.
