there are a few things you should know before you start being witchy:

magick is not something to toy with

this is serious, dont play around with it or you’ll get yourself hurt, make sure you know exactly what you’re doing before you attempt even the smallest things

there is no need to buy anything to be a witch

owning thousands of crystals but not knowing what they are and what they do is not effective (and can be dangerous, see previous point!) witchcraft is not a capitalist movement! no matter what you own, you are a valid witch, besides the strongest magick comes from things you have found / made in my opinion

magick is hard

its tiring, it takes effort and time, some things work first time, some things take longer, some things never work, magick is difficult, you cant just start performing spells straight away, even if you have all the ingredients in the world nothing will work if your not fully dedicated

magick is dangerous!

i know ive said this already but i cannot emphasise enough that this is a serious thing, you have to be careful! spells can turn wrong very quickly, you need to know how to protect yourself and how to cleanse yourself if something bad happens

I would highly recommend doing lots of research before physically practicing something, find what you’re drawn to and what your passionate about
