Another Jonatello screenshot rant, mostly "Race with the Demon" because I love being crazy!!
I like how Casey's face softens slightly the second Donnie comes closer. I am reaching, I am aware, but come on. I notice this every time. I would put even more screenshots because I have more, but Tumblr is Jonatello-blocking me with the 10 picture limit, so bare with me!!
Same goes here, his face softens when Donnie gets mad, and Casey realizes he upset him. I really like that episode in general, because in the 2012 Casey does have problems with like, acknowledging his actions sometimes, so seeing him actually apologize is nice.
It's literally a bunch of screenshots from this episode, of how his face changes when he looks at Donnie. Especially the scene in the barn where Casey asks Donnie for help is literally Casey looking like a wet dog.
This moment you can argue he's worried about April, yeah. But come on. Look at it. Look at how his expression changes when Donnie walks over, clearly upset.
And I have to say, I saw a scene where April gets close, and Casey is very smug when she does it, while with Donnie my man looks panicked. I really do like the idea that Casey is very comfortable with flirting with April, because it's not really "serious", however when it comes to Donnie, he absolutely loses his cool.
While we're on the topic, I thought I saw a bandana in the back pocket of Casey's pants, which if you don't know, it was basically a code for gay men in the 80's!! And I rewatched a couple scenes, because yes he does have something there, but I was like "I don't really see it on his model"
Buttttt I decided to look at his concept art, surprise, he does have some type of "cloth" in his back pocket!!
It's not really for fashion, it is a weapon. It is tied to a bandana tho. I think it is one?? And it's in the back pocket of his pants of all places. Keep that in mind!!
I think you could also say, he had no idea that it has some type of meaning, and someone asked about it and he was like "Excuse me?" Lmao
