Her escape lasted two hours before the guards caught up with her. Hauled back through the prison gates, she could already sense what awaited her. Several lashes and a month in the punishment cell.

Back to prison. Her dream of freedom was short-lived. Hunted like an animal through the woods, she was captured after a day. She demanded that prisoners no longer be shackled at night, a reduction in working hours, showers twice a week, and full uniforms instead of having to go barefoot and topless. She also demanded toilets in the workshop instead of having to urinate and defecate in a bucket in full view of everyone. Instead, she received a few lashes and was locked in solitary confinement for a month.
