"I heard it was your nameday today." In his hands he holds a box tied neatly with a red bow, soon pressing it into Mal's hands. "I knew not what to get you, but I hope that a cake will suffice. Happy nameday, my friend."
“Estinien?” The Black Mage’s eyes widen as she blinks up at the Dragoon, unfamiliar with this docile gesture from the likes of him. It doesn’t take long for her look of surprise to break out into a wide smile.
“Nay, I am happy you thought of giving me something. Truth be told I would have been quite content had you just greeted me,” she murmurs. She sets aside the box, her gaze soft as she turns back towards the Elezen. “Truly though... I thank you. Knowing how I have spent my past namedays I would have...” she trails off before shaking her head and patting the small spot of his upper arm she can reach. “Ah, but today is a day for pleasantries, and I do not think I would be able to finish this cake by myself. Would you and your spouse like to join me and mine own bondmate for a spot of tea later this afternoon?”
