The similarities of situation between her and this Urbain guy were vaguely concerning, especially since it seemed to be so unique. Taunie frowns, mulling over what Corbeau says, only to gasp as he continues on.

"Relax, Taunie. I wasn't being serious. It was just a jab back at for you calling me ugly, is all." Perhaps Philippe was right that Corbeau's humor could be hard to pick up on at times.

Actually, Corbeau was getting a bit weirded out, Taunie clearly wasn't Urbain, but she still made the same choices as him, and it was borderline uncanny valley.

Yeah, he's not buying it, that much is for sure. Still, Taunie feels it's best to desperate herself from the situation, or at the very least, try. She's stopped in her tracks by his question, though.

"Interesting." Corbeau brought his hand up to his mouth in thought, "Funny how you clearly recognized me, backtracked, and have stopped feigning ignorance all within the span of a couple of minutes. The whiplash is something else, I'll give you that much."

Despite the lack of familiarity on his part, he still does a pretty good job of giving her a look that's just as mean. It'd be impressive if she weren't a little worried. "Uh," If this was some sort of weird test, she was definitely failing it.

"Uglier? I see. I can only imagine." Corbeau was born on a day, and it wasn't yesterday.

The sun is shining, birds are chirping, it's such a nice day in the city despite the somewhat dire circumstances, and…is that the familiar sight of someone she owes money to?

Naturally, the sight of Urbain would make the man chide the younger one, it was almost a sport. But, that was the problem: this wasn't Urbain, but looked uncannily like him. He didn't recall the leader of Team MZ having a sister, Corbeau liked to think he kept tabs on his clients and their families.
