The thing I love the most about Zenitsu is how much he loves the Kamado siblings.

Sure he is smitten with Nezuko, but remember when he protected her-in-the-box when he only knew there was a demon—a demon of all things— in it, all because “It’s Tanjiro’s most precious thing”? It was Tanjiro first. He did that solely because he already liked Tanjiro at that very early stage and decided that he should risk himself to protect that scary box. Talk about loyalty.

The second Loving Kamados Moment came in this scene where he talks to Nezuko. Here he emphasizes on happy entertaining parts, not his usual complaints and concludes that her big bro is a good brother. Zenitsu sees Nezuko as someone who should know the events she missed; and he believes even in her current state, she would want to hear about her brother. In other mangas characters like Zen tend to push other ppl away from their love interests and be more ego-centric. Zenitsu respects Nezuko's bonds with Tanjiro and eagerly shares the stories about him. Also Zenitsu isn't the type to lie about his feelings so when he says "Tanjiro's a great brother," he means it.

Aaand that last scene in ep26 where Zenitsu asks Tanjiro that if it was okay for him to take Nezuko with him instead of leaving her at Butterfly Estate?? Zen really truly is concerned for Nezuko’s safety. But, when Tanjiro say they’ll never be apart, Zenitsu just smiles and silently approves his decision. He immediately understood that there was a lot of contemplation behind Tanjiro's decision, and he himself decides to respect that.
