i dont have terminology to express this thought in a sound way so this sounds like im picking at words. but its important to me. i like to see difference between adding something to your thinking framework and removal of a weakness. i like to think about how process for the second is usually easier and more accessible like dropping a bad habit is easier than learning a good one

Castiel having a body of a normal guy is okay with Dean who havent given himself a moment to honestly analyze what his preference is when it comes to dudes.

he is not percieved by Dean as any normal guy would be. Dean's self preservation is good enough to admit that no he CAN'T take Castiel in a fight (can take him in the other sense, obviously) looking at Castiel's body, Dean is always aware of the power thrumming under that skin and THAT gets him hard

he may make fun of Cas having a soft dad bod (while he knows he will be handled like a doll that weights nothing and it gets him weak at the knees 🫤)

i appreciate how huge Misha got in later seasons of SPN HOWEVER id never wish he was that big in 4-5 because there is charm to Dean being rougher than Castiel at a glance. Even Castiel's hands that are bigger than Dean's have softer skin than Dean who have been handling guns and knives and had been scarred thousands of times

Jimmy's body is that of a regular well kept fit guy, he is softer than a battle hardened princess Dean Winchester - but it doesnt matter because obviously the power disparity is not physical - Castiel is infinitely powerful, he breaks the physical rules and does things that his vessel isnt supposed to be capable of

i like when people note that Castiel makes himself a little squishier on purpose when Dean wants to punch him or push him - its the cutest, he adjusts so Dean's feeble human strength has impact on him
