Dem Grover Boys

He may be small, but gosh darn it, he’s gonna help people! I discovered a picture of a “historically accurate” plague doctors mask and I absolutely fell in love with the little snoot nose.

I got the idea to draw this from a game of Tee K.O. The shirt had this devil hoopin and hollerin with his little pitch fork, with a slogan that read “Back at it again at Krispy Kreme”. So, here he is. Back at it again.

I’m back! Again! A little! (Tired of hearing that yet?)

... On the up side, it hasn’t gotten very far.

But not doing the Inktober prompts anymore. Just kinda lost the drive to do them. But, I do have a new pic coming up in just a moment here.

Greetings all! S here. With the new year closing in, I thought I’d take the opportunity to explain just where the heck we’ve been.

Back around October we ran into a little snag by the name of Hurricane Michael. Thankfully nothing too bad happened (I was one of the lucky ones, as was my associate) but it did shut off my internet for the next three months. As we were doing these Inktober prompts as a group activity (and we had to deal with cleaning up storm damage) our drawing sessions halted. Now that it’s back we’ve gotta get back into the rhythm of things. We’re gonna try to finish up the remaining 2/3rds of the Inktober prompts in the coming year (hopefully before the NEXT Inktober). After that I’m not exactly sure. I know that I’m going to try to keep drawing and keep posting stuff on this blog, maybe not everyday but hopefully more than a few pieces a year.

“Inktober“ Day 6: Drooling

Look at this drooly boy.

Spent about an hour trying to draw semi-realistic dog teeth before scrapping that and just rolling from scratch. I was going to draw a whole little vignette where this would have been behind or above an unaware person/persons, but since I finished the around 2 AM, I figured “this is good enough“.

Inktober Day 4 - Spell

I tried to make this one a little bit simpler so I could finish it faster. Even though I only spent around 30 minutes drawing this, I’m really pleased with all the details I managed to put in it.

Inktober Day 3 - Roasted

This picture took me so long to draw it kept from drawing the next two prompts on time. I think this one is my best piece so far.

Inktober Day 2 - Tranquil

This was my first real attempt at drawing anything humanish. While there are a few things that I could have done better, I think she came out looking pretty damn cute.

Inktober Day 1 - Poisonous

It’s about time I stop being lazy and start posting my half of Inktober.

I know the purple pedestal looks kinda wierd. I was originally going to do the whole picture in purple, but I started using other colors and I didn’t bother to go back and change the pedestal.

All in all, I think I did fairly well for the first day.
