Julian kept silent even after hearing the questions. He couldn't look Ruby in the eyes. He looked guilty. Worse even.
This wasn't a patient he got to too late. This was his brother. And he knew something was seriously, deeply wrong with poor Zack, but he just simply thought his older brother was strong enough. That he knew to come to him if he ever needed help.
Yet here they were. Months in and counting.
After a few minutes of uncomfortable silence Julian gave in and finally answered: "He... He calmed down. He said he was sorry for crying so much lately... I... I don't know honestly. It doesn't really matter either. I just want to figure out a way for us to get past this...
I can't- I mean, we can't kept living like this. I can't let him continue on like this... For once in my life I don't know what to do... I probably don't even sound worthy of my title anymore, do I? Christ." He pressed a hand to his forehead as he sighed.
Finally mustering up the nerve to look at Ruby. "... And you? Are you... Alright?"
