Thing is, hospitals cannot feed us. We have both have a collection of severe, life threatening, cross-contact sensitive, allergies. We have been hospitalized many times over the years, and we are never ever fed full meals. We will be hospitalized for weeks. We need a lot of help right now preparing to take food to the hospital. We need allergy safe, preprepped or microwave meals and that is extremely costly. Right now, we expect to need $1,200 and we have gotten $131 to go towards this.

Originally, I went in worried the opposite would happen. Growing up, I've been taught that Nigeria, the country, is homophobic. (I was born in America.) But over time, I learned that there's tons of other queer Nigerians; some are out, and some are in the closet 😭.

I'm also not used to this much attention, lol
