“It sounds disgusting,” Jace agrees, before giving it some thought. “But just disgusting enough that I think I want to try it. Can we try to figure out where I can get that, please?” he asks, letting his eyes go puppy-wide. “And stop being jealous of my hair, Alec. I don’t spend any time on it. It just naturally looks this good. That’s not my fault.”

A total and complete lie, though that’s neither here nor there. “You’re much cooler than Simon, even if you are a pain in the ass,” Jace says thoughtfully. “No, I don’t think you have anything to worry about when it comes to me trading you in for an even more annoying model.” He ignores what Alec said about getting some sleep completely. “Right, grab your jacket. I need food. And then we’re coming up with a way to deal with this.”

     Catching the shirt just before it would have hit her in the face, Izzy just sends an unamused glare in his direction, tossing the piece of clothing onto the bed. “Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look good,” she snarks out a reply, her gaze critical as she eyes him. “'Impress’ means don’t look like you hardly put any effort into your look, and just picked out the first thing you grabbed. You know they basically want to show you off to the Clave members, anyway.” Getting up, she moves to his closet, plucking a shirt out before holding it against him. “Try this one. The color brings out your eyes.”
