I don’t want to get into it too deeply but this blog is about to take another change, for my own mental health and enjoyment of this story. Asks have been shut off entirely and will only be open when I am comfortable and even then anon will not be put back on.

This blog is no longer an ask blog. I am going to be making this into a place to post my story in comic form at my own pace. I’ll be starting at the beginning and actually telling the story in a much more enjoyable way to myself that doesn’t rely on people interacting to be able to progress. 

While I do have fond memories connected with being an ask blog, nostalgia isn’t enough anymore. I’m glad for having made this an ask blog, the friends I made thanks to it, and the ideas that formed as I tried to tell my story but it’s simply not how I want to tell this story anymore.

To anyone who wants to leave because of this, I understand and thank you for getting me this far.

So I have three posts in the works and two asks I'm also working on BUT I am going to be completely swamped with other, more important stuff for the next two weeks and as much as I'd love to say I'll get the posts out I know I wont have the energy. There might (MIGHT) be one this weekend though.

Please be patient as life drags me around like I've got my boot caught in a stirrup.

"O-oh hi! We uh...we a-are from Irk..." [The mention of it seems to make Deet nervous.] "But if you're looking fo-for snacks, th-that's Babi's expertise."

"We have lots of good snacks! Like Glizzy Pomfs and Smud and Glorbage! My favorite is Smud cause it looks like you're eating dirt." [Babi laughs almost mischievously.] "But we normally just have Munch-Munch-O's or Frudder Knotts!"

"Th-they are the cheapest." [Before anything more can be said an alarm beeps on the control panel. Deet peeks down at it.]

"...I sho-should check on...th-that."

[Deet sets the ship's autopilot before getting up and leaving the cockpit.]

"So...what kind of snacks do earthenoids have?"

“Are we there yet?” [The voice is young and excited.]

“Not yet,” [This voice is older.] “But our trans-transmission should be going th-through soon.”

“What if they don’t answer? Are we gonna get in trouble again?”

“No no, don’t worry! Earthenoids a-are labeled as non-hostiles so w-we’re safe.” 

[The older one doesn’t sound very convinced of their words. The picture starts to clear to show the cockpit of a spaceship. Two aliens are sitting next to each other, one at the helm and the other in a passenger seat.]

[They quickly notice the camera functioning.]

“O-oh! Is anyone th-there?”

So here's the news:

When I first made this blog I made changes to the original story on the fly trying to make something other people would like and in the process I made something I didnt like, and would grow to hate unfortunately. I got too focused on people enjoying my content and forgot that I made the story for me.

While I do love that people like something I made I can't stand to work on the story anymore. I'm not going to abandon the blog though! I'm going to be retconning the story and starting over. All the old posts will be there but from this post on the story is going to be the original story I was planning on.

"H-hello...?" [Babi's voice shakes violently. When the creature starts stalking forwards they turn around and bolt down the nearest fork in the tunnels.]

[Furious howls follow them. They pass tunnel after tunnel with the thing closing in behind. Babi starts crying, calling for Deet to help.]

[Light trickles in from a branch off and Babi scrambles around the turn.]

[Just as they nearly pass through the opening they let out a shriek. Babi struggles as sharp claws latch to their bag and start pulling them back towards the creature.]

"HELP!!"
