Thank you for answering my earlier question about Jordan! I really wanted to be careful with my wording, and I appreciate you for answering so succinctly. At the end of day, I was just worried that because he is the way he is, he wouldn't care that much even if something horrible happened to the MC, you know? Bug has a deeper connection with the woods, so it makes sense that he would be protective of the kid, but maybe not the MC as much. This entire project is absolutely incredible, detailed, and well-paced. Keep up the great work!

There's a Patreon lore story that shows how they grapple (or don't) with loss and trauma regarding a partner's death, but it's so heavily spoiler territory that I literally cannot share it outside of the paywall.

I want to preface by saying that this is a genuine question, and I really hope I don't hurt anyone who considers themselves aromantic by asking (and I'm sorry if it comes off that way). I know that Jordan can't love us (probably something to do with his bout in the woods leading to him not being able to have strong feelings for anything) and is considered aromantic, but that doesn't equate to him not caring about us (especially the further we go in the story), right? I am so curious about his route and I've enjoyed it very much, but there is an unavoidable part of me that feels...strange (hurt?) trying to have my MC love someone who can't reciprocate. I can't help but wonder if its like trying to water plants in the desert. I really hope I worded that alright.

You're right in that Jordan's lack of emotional connection is due to their time in the woods - there is always a cost when you make a deal and aren't very careful with your words.
As far as caring about you... It's difficult to say, really. It depends on what you expect/want from their caring.
Will they put your wants before the others'? Yes...Mostly. There are two exceptions to this, but given the choice, they'd put your wants first.
Will they think about you when you aren't around? Of course. But will they go out of their way to see you? Nope.
Will they choose you over their duty to Deerbourne? No.
Will they protect Bug to the death? Yes.

EDIT: Also thought I would add in - Jordan will never change, even if the woods die or Deerbourne ceases to exist. This is who they are until the day they shuffle off this mortal coil for good.

I have crippling financial debt and my drawings aren't great, and I still don't need AI to make "pretty" pictures for me.
You know what I do? I use my WORDS to describe my characters. I make MOODBOARDS for my characters. I have awesome friends who make art for me for free and give me tips for my own art.

Silas would ask what's wrong while being somewhat amused by the bratty behavior... but if it went on for more than a few hours, he'd probably be like, "Fine, whatever," and go sulk (aka get drunk) in his room.
Annika would be angry at the cold shoulder. She's a firm believer in having a passionate argument, getting everything off your chest, and then making up. If you draw out the fight or ignore her afterwards, it will just make her madder and less likely to accept your apology (unless it's a really good one, but even then, don't make it a habit. She knows her worth and won't settle for a disrespectful partner).
Jordan probably wouldnt really notice, lol. And if they did, they'd just be like: *shrug* "hmu when you're done moping. Or don't."
If you and Vardah are a unit, such things are impossible. It would feel like cutting off an arm to ignore her. Fighting would be like a twisting knife to the gut.
Hunter would be the most saddened by this. He will try to get you to talk to him. He'll make you your favorite treats. He'll offer to watch Bug so you can go have a day to yourself. He won't hold it against you at first. But if you make a habit of treating him badly, he'll start to resent you.
Nadia would not stand for it. She'd move on and do her thing. She might not take you back even if you try to apologize (depending on how long it took/what the original fight was about). "I have more people to worry about than just you. Stop being childish and either be my partner or don't."
