another brooke scott thought for today... so excited to see her in the live action show lol. 0 plot relevance, 3 total minutes of screen time, and they're being spent being salty toward a girl who does not gaf. i love her. she's just so funny in the original game when you place her against Max's ambivalence towards warren + everything that's unfolding with Chloe lmao. she doesn't even know...

another brooke scott thought i have is that you kind of can't blame her for being who she is. she was a geek girl at a time where liking star wars and being interested in robotics would mean having to continually prove to annoying male nerds that she was a Real Geek who actually knew things. Of course she's defensive by default, you know? like, that lightsaber hoodie is not a casual piece of fan merch. it is not performative geekiness. she is ready for the pop quizzes about obscure star wars lore. she is ready to prove she knows more than you do. she's a Real Fan.

thinking about brooke scott brooke headcanon is that she's a moderator for some kind of subreddit and she has a tumblr blog where she reblogs doctor who gifs and Science Posts. she would only read fanfiction if the writing was excellent and would never ever admit to it because it would make her seem like less of an Intellectual lol. "i engage with the work and the fandom through an analytical lens. i'm not like the other fangirls". her Not Like Other Girls mentality makes her feel very alive and real to me. she displays this obvious sense of intellectual superiority in every engagement with max. she hosts the Geek Grrls bookclub (canon. there's a flier for it and the email adress at the bottom is her name) and in the advertisement for that club she derides harry potter and twilight... she wants to discuss Real books with Like-minded girls. idk i just feel like life is strange did a really good job of breathing life into the social ecosystem of blackwell. your geek admirer has his own geek admirer. that's amazing.
