Dsp positivity

Anyways I’m just here to say that DSP is actually good at character making and development. I used to hate them for doing a lot of things they did, but after some events I put aside my biases to appreciate what it is vs what it’s not.

Now I legitimately look up to them a lot. I respect them as a damn good creator that does what they like to do. And what they like to create does in no way harm anyone. They aren’t portraying things as unrealistic. They aren’t portraying their villains as good guys. (Heck I love when I see them make fun of how terrible their villains are). It’s great. They’re great.

can we talk about the fact that DSP is physically capable of making 200+ good, unique designs What the hell I struggle with making 10 designs my god

I was??? actually looking more into Licorice and Ivlis last night (even bought the,,,,, ehem manga with Satanick and Ivlis) and holy shit. They really are two of dsps best kiddos.They’re both really incredibly well written. Licorice with his actual fucking trauma-related age regression since he always walks around in child form and literally talks like a 5 year old regardless. He’s just,,,,,a very well done character even thinking about what he’s done. it makes sense regarding the trauma and what he’s witnessed

And Ivlis? I don’t even know where to start. How he genuinely grew to like Satanicks abuse but was still disgusted and scared by it. How in the heat he’ll like it but as soon as he comes to his senses,,, he’s disgusted. scared. he wants to kill him. he wants to see him dead. dead.

I get not liking dsps content. But not liking him because of his content? Literally. Why be so petty. Content does not equal creator. I don't know the man personally, but neither do you. You don't get to say what he's done, what his thoughts are, what kind of person he is by a piece of art that he poured his heart and soul into. Even when faced with horrible hatred, he kept working on what he loved, he kept working on his Manga. He has endless drawings and sketches of the characters he loves. He loves creating characters and you're just trying to take it away from him. So what if he writes heavy topics? None of them are glorified. Wadda reacts completely realistically to Sal. She cries at the bare thought of him. Despite not even remembering what Sal had done. Wow. How bad and disrespectful. Shaking my fucking head man.

It's blunt and in your face because honestly I wouldn't want it to be brushed away. It's in your face. It's there. It happened. And it's horrible, it's disgusting and it makes you uncomfortable. It's realistic. And you are all just being babies. I get not liking the content. But that's in no way to say it's bad. It's treated respectfully. It's blunt and in your face.

Morale of the story? Stop being babies and let the man do what he enjoys.
