i cant stop thinking about them showing up this episode in the outfits that dennis all put them in for the lowest rated dinner party that made charmacdee miserable and gave dennis a mental breakdown. and then trying to stick to the script on camera. the implications of that are so delicious. at the end of prime time they literally learned that trying to make themselves palatable for the audience doesnt work and they start considering if they should just be themselves and then they watch frank replace them with a fake made for tv family so they show up to be recorded once again trying to make themselves palatable for an audience AAAAAH. they had a conversation off screen where they decided to do that!!! dennis convinced them that they need to not embarrass themselves on national television, they agreed to pretend to be normal, and then they failed in the same ways AGAIN, macdennis had a public spat about their relationship where mac punched dennis hard, dee made horrible cringey degrading jokes, charlie had a full mental breakdown because he was losing frank and his mother was now involved - built the sameee shit we saw them have problems with in prime time and they STILL chose to perform the same lie again and they STILL failed. in the end they keep trying to play roles that they cannot fulfill and humiliate themselves as a result. and then they go on to watch frank shed HIS role as sleazy businessman to choose the woman he had genuine feelings for. incredible.

i love that sunny sometimes has the most detailed, consistent continuity but on the other hand they once had an episode where dee speaks spanish in the same season where they established that she doesn't know any spanish
