“So, who do we have here?” Violet wondered as she walked into the room to meet her next patient. Her eyes found the dog long before she saw its owner, and she immediately reached out a hand to let the little pet get a whiff of her scent. “Hi baby. I was in Greece. What about you? Wow---you’re finally a vet. I mean, I’m not surprised, I know you’ll make it, but still, I’m happy for you.❞

Even through her denial, Jake knew that there would definitely be a next time, if she wanted to keep her name and reputation clean of the contents of that tape, that is.
