She hops up even closer, blushes even brighter. His hands are bigger than hers and rougher than hers and warm. Does she get to k- oh, nope, nope, he’s sad. Look at that. Look at that. There’s her boy. There he is.

She presses a hand to the side of his face, mirrors a thousand remembered kisses before the kiss, and she lets it go. All of time, all of the noise, all of it. 

(Her first breath in tastes like ice water.) "The pleasure is all mine, Doctor." (The second tastes like smoke.)

"They call me the Master. And I’m going to kiss you now, okay, okay? We’re being too sad. Together we could take over the universe and blow it all up, I mean, come on!"

His voice is quiet, his eyes locked on her. Well, until she touches his face, then his eyes slid closed and he had to take a breath. His eyes open again and he's laughing at her Name. His fingers slide to the back of her neck, holding in a nearly possessive way; in the way he used to before all of this.

"You would choose that sort of Name. And what are you waiting for? And aren't I supposed to be the bad one in this situation? Stop stealing my lines."
