Cate still couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that she hadn’t seen Catherine in person since the Halloween incident a few weeks ago. It had been a while, and it had taken a lot of courage for her to talk to Catherine again but it was worth it. Those brief seconds of panic after accidentally dialing her number led to their longest call yet: an honest, raw, and emotional conversation between two women who, instead of breaking an incipient friendship, ended up connecting in a new and unexpectedly deep way... deeper than Cate could have imagined. Since then, they talked on the phone almost every night after a long day. They shared laughs and short anecdotes about their lives; they got to know each other even better. And not only that, during the day they texted, sending random pictures or sharing something funny. At night, there was always that much-awaited call, sometimes lasting until one of them fell asleep. Cate had fallen asleep more than once thinking about their real encounter, finally apologizing face-to-face, reconnecting properly, looking into her eyes, touching her, and feeling her presence close again.
Filming in Greece had wrapped up, and this time she traveled home in a better mood. She was relaxed and excited to see her kids for a couple of days before flying to Italy for a special engagement. She needed to raise her voice for the causes she cared about, so she accepted an invitation to meet with the Pope a ceremony that held deep meaning for her. The plan was clear: she would spend a couple of days there. But instead, she rearranged everything to fly to NYC earlier than expected. She didn’t mention anything to Catherine, who wasn’t expecting her until the following week. She had work to get done there but a few days there to enjoy of the city and the first snowflakes falling without any rush and especially to finally make that encounter happen.
The flight had been long, and she was exhausted, but after a power nap, a long bath, and with the sparkling lights of New York City as the perfect backdrop, she felt revived. She called her kids, and then she finally decided to make the call she had been waiting to make. “Hey, Tisha” her husky, deep voice greeted the woman on the other end of the line. “I just woke up from the most delicious nap ever” she said, fully aware that Catherine believed Cate was in London or still in Italy. “I woke up and noticed how beautiful Central Park looks… I didn’t expect that New York was so cold already” She smirked mischievously. “Do you think a coat is enough to go out tonight? And if you happen to be free… I don’t know… maybe you could join me and give me a little tour of the city.”

“I got a new drink for you, Cara Mia,” Cate said to Catherine as she approached her from behind, her breath brushing against the gorgeous woman’s neck. Catherine’s dress hugged her figure like a glove, highlighting every curve, something Cate couldn’t ignore, something that provoked her. Her hand slid to the other woman’s hip before Catherine turned to face her. Her pale skin, red lips, and perfectly calculated movements made Cate smirk. The blonde, dressed in a fitted suit and sporting a fake mustache, did her best impression of Gomez Addams, just as she had promised Catherine many times before. Her slicked-back blonde hair only added to the illusion; she truly knew how to embody a gentleman. Handing her the glass, Cate brushed her fingers with Catherine’s gently. The game started since the first moment they saw the other wearing their Halloween costumes. Cate couldn’t believe how good Catherine looked. She was now convinced that no one could play Morticia better than Catherine. The night in the yacht was exciting, the music, the drinks and people around having fun, but for Cate the only person who was getting her attention was Catherine. She was taking her role as Gomez Addams seriously, and she had been attentive and protective all night. The alcohol, of course, helped her be a little bolder, giving her the courage to make certain approaches toward the black-haired lady—subtle touches, flirty remarks, and the constant instinct to lean into her. She was magnetic, and Cate simply couldn’t keep her hands off her. “Would you like to dance another piece, Cara Mia? Or would you prefer to sit by the bar, in case we need another drink soon?” she murmured, leaning closer so Catherine could hear her through the music. @cathzejones
It was a dusty foggy morning in London, the one where grey light claimed every corner from the spaces between buildings to the canopy of the sky. Lit as ethereal only a movie backdrop could possibly be. The cold though, it nipped at your nose and froze your hands, why this particular blonde found it necessary to be wrapped in such layers, from toe to head. Her eyes were set to that canopy up above for a few moments, catching the sights of the sky set against tudor roof frames as a sea of birds passed. That would have made a hell of a picture shot for her album. The almost seven month old strapped to her chest, bundled in fabrics let out a happy little coo every time her mother inevitable bounced her with the steady pace.
Before she could even think to reach for her phone the peace was deeply violated. "Ah Missus over here" the words slung at her by a paparazzi, he had been there stalking, just waiting for his chance. She behaved akin to a deer in headlights, the flash struck her creating that white fuzzy light behind her eyes for a few minutes. The first and last thoughts was keeping her balance to protect Etta. Like that deer, she fled, tucked her face beneath her husband's wool english newsboy cap and turned a sharp direction when sight of where she was stepping was safely returned to her a few longed moments later. It was so foreign to her - being some version of known when she functioned in almost anonymity for a long time - even with a hit movie. Predominantly she knew this was because of who she was now married too and predominately because of the show he was filming right now had so much buzz. It was the kind of being known you didn't have right to complain about because you love the circumstances, rather the person, that brought this into your life, but still felt a little like a goldfish in a tropical fish's bowl. Etta the always mostly calm child let a single cry and like her mother rebalanced herself from the almost disrupting event.
Liz walked now with purpose, propelled towards and through the local establishments opening door. A bright little solo ding singled not just to her but all the inhabitants of the pub she had arrived, and immediately it became safe to shed her stiff confining coat. She looked about, not casually but very pointedly, for her intended joining party. Sam. They had a rather unique history, almost two ships passing. A friendly spark but nothing both would admit was a flame of passion. He was a catalyst that had pointed her to what was now reality. There was a symbiotic joy in them both finding their person and their happy endings as a result ion the last year. But then Sam's cracked. She had not the slightest clue why. The two really hadn't spoken in the last six months, but that did not mean she was not free of worry for him. She knew in her own life, for when there was a blank space, there was all too much that could be written to fill it. She didn't want to press him but she much rather here the story from him then to suppose what could have happened. Desperate blue eyes filled with that emotion looking again for him in the room.
Changes come to the Farm || Jason & Elizabeth Para
Title:
Changes come to the Farm
Date: 1/25/25
Description: Elizabeth and Jason find out they are expecting, on a day they were already receiving a new member to the family.
Participants: Elizabeth and Jason @sudcikis
Elizabeth : It was a cold Saturday morning when they decided to pick up Sweet Bill, Liz tried to look on a day that aligned with Jason's schedule where it would be a tad warmer but those warm days were not coming for weeks and well nobody wanted to wait weeks to bring Bill home. Liz and Jason both giving the initial loving and attentive lookover to the horse. And Jason was right the arthritis was not bad in his joints by any means but she betted he wanted in the warm trailer about now and out of the cold air. She wasnt even able to clue Jason into what she was doing just pressed on doing it. Her stomach was already threatening to turn, guess that bug Jason gave her wasnt quite out of her system yet. Her jaw nervously wobbling as she gently led Bill into their new wide horse trailer, up the ramp on the side and him easily following her lead, trying to get her mind off it and be basic about tying Bill in to his transport stall.
Jason: Jason glanced over his shoulder every few moments as he finalized the paperwork with Bill's former owner, because he was theirs now. His heart fluttered a little as he watched Liz lead the giant into their trailer, excited for him to see his new home, hoping he would get on well with Yogi. He walked back to the car and opened the rear door, recalling Jim - who had been just a few feet away from Jason, sniffing everything - to get in and settle in his travel bed and he did without fuss. When he closed the door he moved to the back of the trailer to check on Liz, still clutching the paperwork and offering a gentle smile, "Are you winning?"
Elizabeth: Liz gentle petted Bill's mane, trying to reassure him of the journey before the trailer actually moved. The horse not as anxious as Liz feared rather he was happy to lift his head and lean it over her shoulder in almost a act of giving her reassurance. "Yeah that's your hay" she insisted as his long nose sniffed at thin dry pieces before eating it, his large teeth crunching down on it in rhtyhem. "And you are going to your new home and your going to eet your brother ..I hope you like it we made your home all nice for you" And suddenly as heartfelt as she meant those words, she had talked to long and that feeling sunk into the back of her mouth. Trying to put the smile back on her face even in the worry about that for Jason. "Im winning for sure" she tried to smile hiding the feelings beneath
Jason: He pressed his lips together and raised his brows, his head not so much nodding but rolling around like bobble head that had just caught some turbulence. He glanced between Bill and Elizabeth and tried to get a read because he wasn't entirely convinced of her answer, but he wasn't entirely sure if he should push her; it had been a funny few weeks, he'd been sick for two weeks straight, Daisy hadn't been feeling herself, Liz was now feeling it. He wondered if the should've postponed this move until Liz was feeling better at least. "D'you want me to drive home? Are you okay?"
Elizabeth: Jason did that thing, that thing where she only knew when he was unsure of it, knew something was more deeper and he was calculating how to get deeper insight with being the super sweet husband he was. She did not want this sweet man to take on a ounce of guilt, she knew looking after him sick could have very well given her this. "Im okay, I should be fine to drive" telling herself to suck it up she was feeling a little ill not completely out of commission here. She walked up to him slowly placing a gentle kiss on his lips
Jason: He watched her closely as she approached him, his eyes crossing a little as she kissed him so softly on the lips. He didn't at all believe she looked well enough to drive but she knew her body better than he did and he didn't want to push her with 'Are you sure's and 'I don't think you should's. This was her car, her first time towing the trailer with an animal inside it, in the new car, perhaps she was just jittery. He smiled and decided to lighten the mood a little in case it was just nerves "My big girl, driving her big girl car with the pony on the back and I get to be a passenger princess."
Elizabeth: Liz appreciated the levity, he had the amazing ability to use humor to bring the focus back to the present. Back to the fact Liz was living the big girl dream she had in her barbie's when she was little, and now it was her reality. And it lived up to every bit of excitement she had for decades, so happy and purposeful in this. And every bit worth thanking him for. "Thank you for always believing in me and encouraging me to take my dreams seriously, now I can share it with you in a even new way" A dazzling little excitement because it wasnt just her in the horse field anymore. Liz smiling at him while she exhaled a big breathe, it felt like the tension in her stomach and jaw let go for the moment. Kissing his cheek lovingly again before she parted. Securing the trailer before heading around to the driver's side door, soon as it opened she was met with a smell, coffee, not like she hadnt ever smelled coffee before but this was fucking strong. What the hell kind of coffee was Jason drinking? "Jason can you do me a favor and like put the coffee over on your door cup" she wanted to be polite as possible but also wanted it the farthest humanly possibly from her. Her hand coming down upon her stomach sitting in the driver's seat of her beautiful new car.
Jason: “Of course I will always believe in you baby, because you and I are a team now and for always.” He reassured her with another smile. He walked to the passenger side and got into the car , glancing in the back seat to be met with the sunny face of Jim, who was laid patiently waiting for their journey to start so he could start his nap. Jason reached into his jeans pocket and took out a small training treat and twisted his arm back for Jim to take it, “Goo’boy.” He praised as brought his arm back to buckle his seatbelt as Liz joined him in the car. Her comment surprised him a little but he nodded and obliged, moving his yeti cup over into the holder in his door.
Elizabeth: Jason's words echoing in her head, keeping her smiling all the way to the car, Liz looked back at Jim, her blonde haired head turned all the away around and back to their puppy who almost wasnt a puppy anymore, few more months and he'd reach full adult size. It was bittersweet and if she stayed on that thought the little mist i her eyes be full on tears. The dogs sunny disposition a good reminder of something to focus on in the moment. Liz reaching back to brush the top of his head in gratitude before turning back around, the mistiness in her eyes all gone with a blink, but her hand was on he stomach to lessen the wobbleness of that intent on the ride ahead.
Jason: He shuffled around a little to get himself comfortable, making sure he had easy access to his box of Sour Patch Kids and his coffee and he took his phone out of his pocket and checked the screen, rolling his eyes when he was greeted with more email and Teams notifications than he was willing to deal with right now. Jason set the paperwork binder down by his feet and exchanged it for the book he was reading and let it rest in his lap, he didn't think he'd read any of it but he liked having it handy. "I'll make you some tea when we get back home, you can lie up on the couch and rest."
Elizabeth: Jason was so sweet "Baby you dont have to do that but I may take you up on it" Her attention never leaving the rearview mirror as they took a corner naturally coming back to the road before. That thing where there were always honest with each other, it wasnt worth keeping up a front face about. She was struggling but she was also determined to get home and prove even with a little upset stomach she could do this, she was capable, if for herself more than anyone else. All the while getting little whiffs of Jason's coffee on the ride home. She wished this was a calmer ride so he could enjoy a second and his book, not silently looking after her like she knew he was doing. It wouldnt be until they got home she indulged they upset stomach. She made sure the car was parked, and everyone was safe for a moment before dry heaving coughing coming out of the car and realizing how truly she felt like crap.
Jason: Jason spent the car ride dipping in and out of his book but he didn't read much, he kept glancing over at Liz and noticing how green she looked; he'd sip his coffee and eat his candy, not saying anything because he didn't want it to come across like he thought she couldn't do it. When they were home he opened the door and let Jim inside and he began to run around the house and wipe himself all over the soft furnishings as if he were trying to get the smell of outside and the stranger's farm off of him, and the smell of his own home back on him. Seeing the state Liz was in he shook his head gently and walked to her, putting his hand on her shoulder "Baby, go lie down."
Elizabeth: She tried to take deep breathes let the farm's cool air fill her lungs before even undoing the door to the trailer. It wasnt working all she could do was smell Jason's coffee in the air. The gentle hands on her shoulders, a previously unknown soothing she needed. "But" her ego wanted to fight what she knew was the best thing for her and it wasnt fair to be rude to the nicest man on the planet. Then the dry heaving feeling came up and well to save herself she relented, her shoulders dropping to indicate so. "Everything smells so bad and I cant keep things I dont eve eat down" She literally cried at this, little pockets of tears coming up as the shallow breathing took flight right there
Jason: Jason let out a soft chuckle and pouted, wrapping g his arms around her and pulling him into her chest “Oh Merv.” He said tenderly “You have a bug. Please just go and rest, I’ll get the big boy settled and then I’ll get you some water and some tea.”
Elizabeth: Liz crushed into his chest it's like his words gave her permission to be as helpless as she needed to be while sick because he was the amazing husband he was. It was not the norm for Liz to cry like this almwost on the verge of hyperventilating on something shed usually rationalize away and move on. She snuggled into his chest for a brief moment "Okay" she said now willing to submit to it "but you are going to be ok to take him out the trailer and lead him in?" if he gave any hint otherwise shed stand her ground.
Jason: He kissed the top of her head and ran his hands over her back, knowing how she felt in the moment and knowing she must've been feeling bad. Jason hated to see her this way, but he held her through it and waited for her to give in to his coddling. Pulling away at her question, thumbs brushing under her eyes to catch those tears as they pooled before they had chance to fall, "I will manage." he said, "Get in your jammies, I'll be up in a minute."
Elizabeth: Liz breathing finally calmed down as she just looked him in the eyes got a moment got lost in their deep hues. She gently nodded her head and kissed him one more time deeply in thanks before even taking off towards the house. Inside where she shed all her layers of outside clothes on the couch and Jim loving greeted her with a boop to her belly. He’d follow her all the way up to the bedroom and curl up on Jason’s pillows. Getting into her favorite floral pj set. The ones she never dared to wear a certain time of the month cause they were pretty and expensive. Wait when was the last time? Quickly grabbing at her iPad on the side table, looking through the dates and well come to find out she was than a week late. With everything going on her mind list track of it. She sat down in the bed her mind reeling but unsure enough still to not be celebrating “you know don’t you?” Pointedly asking to him who was curled up on the bed beside her
Jason: Jason didn't want to admit that he was nervous about dealing with a new horse all by himself; he was a little anxious around them without Liz around anyway, she was so much better with Yogi than he was, and he hoped nothing would go wrong while she was inside. He hoped Bill would go steady. He was worried about Liz, he had been sick for two weeks and he had tried so hard not to give it to her but with their tries for a baby it was only a matter of time before he gave something to her even if he was getting better each day. They could try again next month. He managed to get Bill out of the trailer without a fuss and he lead him down to the field adjacent to Yogi's so they could meet over the fences. "Now I'm gonna have to go inside in a little bit and take care of your momma, so I don't want no funny business. Y'all better be nice to one another. Yogi this is your new big brother, Bill; you be nice to him, show him where all the best grazin' spots are. Don't torment the landlords." He pointed towards the house "I'mma be upstairs watchin' you."
Elziabeth: Liz had already googled early signs of pregnancy soon as the flicker of thought ...heightened smell..yup...feeling constantly nauseated ...yup...unsuually tired...yup. A little excited smile creeping on her lips also for the fact she could be right and he didnt make her sick in the way he thought. Liz had put on Jason's bathroom robe, the green fluffy warm one that smelled of hints of him. She was watching from their upstairs window that rolled on down the hill in it's view. She could catch a glimpse of the horses leaving their stalls and playing in their respective paddocks as Jason let Bill out there. Yogi was of course his energetic Irish self and leaning over his fence. she could see Bill encouraged by this still in a whole new space and people and yet he was sniffing around like he was getting his own lay of the land. She knew Jason and horses history and she knew him offering this was no small thing. Her hand laying over her heart as she watched him. Liz took off with all her energy downstairs to meet him at the door or even before then, ok it was fighting agaisnt his direction but when did she actually follow orders anyway..."Im not sick" she screamed out there in her flora pjs and his robe on their back deck sliding glass door open
Jason: He busied himself making sure both boys had enough food and water, then he checked on the goats, he said good afternoon to the ducks in the lake, howdy to the geese who were resting in the underbrush, and then went to the chicken run to open the door to the run to give his chickens reign of the garden. Unsurprisingly, Babs was straight out to see him and he took her to the horses, picking her up and sitting her on the fence to show her the new addition to the farm before he heard Elizabeth hollering at him from the house, he turned around to see her at the door in her pyjamas and he picked up his clingy chicken and carried her under his arm as he walked up the path to the stairs to the deck "What'd you say?" He asked, looking up at her as he climbed them, squinting a little in the winter sun.
Elizabeth: Jason was pure farmer Jason and these days it was such a specific turn on, so was a lot of things about him. She made a move to meet him down the stairs but stopped herself cause a second later if he knew what she was thinking hed have stopped her anyway. "Im not sick" her lips breaking out into a smile. "I mean I am but do not think because of a bug, rather we will have a bug in oh say close to nine months...." she started dropping hints "Im late" she barely said in a whisper. The smile cracking again
Jason: Jason stopped in front of her, brown eyes darting over her face like he was checking for signs. Hints. Them getting wider and softer as she began to speak. Then the penny dropped and he had to put Babs down on the deck to fully concentrate on what Elizabeth was telling him, "A little bug?" he asked quietly, putting his hands on her stomach "In here? Are we having a baby?" His heart raced as his lips began to curl up into a smile, waiting for the confirmation that he wanted to hear.
Elizabeth: His hands on her stomach, it was so therapeutic. No better man was there to love and protect her baby. But it broke her heart she couldnt give him complete confirmation in this moment "I havent taken a test, Id only want to with you, you were the first person I wanted to share it with the moment I thought... but it explains it even more than me being sick" Liz's smile anew to match with his growing one
Jason: He nodded his head in understanding, looking down at his hands and then up at her face, drawing his hands away from her belly and seeking out her hands, pushing his fingers in between hers. "Do you have one? Do you need me to go to the pharmacy?" he asked, bringing her hands up to his lips and kissing her knuckles lovingly.
Elizabeth: lIz was still beaming so it was hard to see the effect of his loving actions but it was there. Her heart all twitterpainted and bouncing in her chest, "I have a couple here" A couple was a understatement she had about least ten saved up for this very moment when they suspected.
Jason: He smiled and kissed each one of her fingertips individually "You wanna do one right now?" he asked, excitably, his brows raising hopefully. "You wanna do one right now before I get too excited and lose my damn mind?"
Elizabeth: It tickled in the best way; his beard on her soft flesh, her fingers wiggling in his hand. Her eyes softened, while her cheeks become rounder in a smile. Before she even nodded her head. before you knew it she was on her tip toes running back into the house, slower on the old steps to their bedroom.
Jason: Jason glanced down at the chicken who had loafed by his feet "Stay here, pretty girl." he told her, then followed Liz into the house and up the stairs to the bedroom.
Elizabeth: She had maybe gotten a good headstart, hence why when he came in she already had the test between her fingers reading the directions. "So literally you just pee on it and wait" Like there was some kind of secretness she was missing out on. But her chest was still humming reading it "Ill be right back out..I want to wait on it together" she knew hed want nothing else but didnt stop her green eyes from pleading
Jason: He reached the bedroom and sat on the bed, crossing his legs. He watched her and nodded "Yeah, take the cap off the end, and pee on the strip. It's usually about two minutes for the results to be clear." he explained, getting giddy all of a sudden, "Go on hurry up I'm so excited."
Elizabeth: If he wasnt already showing what a pro he was at this. Liz herself excited going to their little en suite. Mindlessly talking to him through the wall as she peed too. Shed come out after, after she felt like she gave a racehorse sample in two minutes, with he cap on, bouncing onto the bed with him and setting it out before the both of them. Her nervous for the first time since the thought struck cause what if she wasnt now? She got him this excited for nothing..that would utterly crush her heart.
Jason: When she got into the en suite Jason muttered an “Ew” out loud to himself when he realized all the activities he had done that day in the clothes he was currently sat on the bed in and immediately got up to change out of his jeans and into his sweatpants and a clean hoodie, folding the dirty clothes to toss them in the laundry bin later but leaving them on the edge of the tub for now. He sat back down as they chatted and when she came back he grinned and said “You know this is going to be the longest two minute wait of your life now, right?”
Elizabeth: "Funny how the baby was probably made on one of our quickies..but you the comedian you figure that joke out." She said sweetly, crossing her legs underneath her as he was right she could literally feel the seconds till two strong lines came out very clear. "Does that mean what I think it means" her brain taking a second to process the good news.
Jason: "You think so?" he asked on a chuckle, reaching out to take her hand and hold it, looking into her eyes and trying not to look at the test because he was too nervous. When the time came and she looked at it, his heart started to thump so loudly he wondered if she could see it beating under his clothes, "What does it say? I'm too nervous."
Elizabeth: Liz hung on tight to his hand it was her turn to be the overly affectionate one since he had been so loving kissing down the back off his hand. "It says we are pregnant" she said before laying a big kiss on his lips.
Jason: Hearing those words from her lips, Jason's eyes welled with joyful tears, he pulled her in to him and wrapped his arms around her, keeping her close as he kissed her
Elizabeth: Liz still giggled with joy, a apart of her had been holding back, tentative because what if it wasnt true. No but now she could let the gates loose and more importantly celebrate with her husbnd, feeling such protection in his strong arms
Jason: Jason sobbed lightly against her shoulder, putting his hand on the back of her head, "Oh my gosh, this is such happy news!" he said on a chuckle, lifting one hand to wipe his eyes, "A pony and a baby all in one day? I'm so spoiled."
Elziabeth: Jason had more tears in his eyes than she did which was saying something cause she felt like she was balling. She wiped wi th the back of her thumg his stubble covered chin. "I know Im just treating you way to good" She suddenly became more awar of her body, Jason's hands on her own hands going down to her stomach really letting it sink in their was a life being made in there, and the tears flowed even more freely. A little half Jason and half her in there they made out of utter love
Jason: He let out a joyful giggle as he glanced down at her stomach as she placed their hands there “You are.” He sighed wistfully, shaking his head with a smile that said he couldn’t quite believe that this was his life “You are, you’re making my dreams come true.”
Elizabeth: Liz was relishing in this feeling, this loved up blissful feeling she didnt want it to end despite feeling like her cookies could toss at any moment. She didnt want to ask follow up questions and ruin it. "Guess I should make my first doctor's appointment, wait a bit before we dare tell a soul" All things they had agreed upon before but now meant something with the reality of a little on now within her, eyes still a dreamy color green
Coming to the realization that Cate didn’t want anything or anyone else but Jenna took a while. Hopefully, it wasn't too late for a new opportunity, a new start. The couple experimented with all kinds of adventures, and what started with an affair, with no other intention than to have the best time together, slowly began to change. Her feelings were awakening after such a long time of being hurt and slumbering. The passage of time changed the way she felt towards Jenna; the differences between them were many, but their commonalities were significant too. It was the most unexpected and exhilarating balance that kept Cate surprised and feeling like a new woman—a woman who wanted to be with Jenna, who had feelings for her and wanted to let her know how she was feeling. If everything was mutual, she wanted a relationship, a serious, exclusive, and deep one, without caring too much for the future, just their present and the delicious presence of Jenna in her life.
The Australian had prepared everything for a getaway with Jenna. It had been a while since she was in the Hamptons, and since she was spending her last days in NYC and they were just a couple of hours' drive away, she thought it was a great spot to spend a weekend away with Jenna. She had rented a beautiful villa with huge, dreamy gardens and a pool, a beautiful space just for them where they could freely spend time outside their villa without anyone to interrupt their encounter for the two days.
They arrived in the evening and spent a few hours exploring the villa, settling in, talking, and drinking a couple of glasses of wine until Cate asked Jenna to play dress-up. The puzzled look on Jenna's face was priceless, but as always, she followed Cate's crazy ideas. "Just imagine you're going to have a photoshoot with me, a hot one, and wear something for that. That's the challenge," Cate said before disappearing for a while.
Just in time to enjoy the sunset, Jenna didn't know what Cate had prepared until the blonde showed up and joined Jenna in the bedroom again. She smiled at the sight of Jenna dressed up and bit her lip. "Fuck! That's hot. First task has been accomplished! damn!" Cate grinned and winked. "Follow me, please" she whispered. As they walked out to one of the beautiful terraces of the villa, everything was set up right there, with a beautiful view and a table decorated with exquisite taste creating a romantic atmosphere. "Oh! Look at this! I wonder who prepared all this for us," Cate said with a naughty smile as she ensured her backless dress was in the right place, wearing a pale yellow dress that exposed a lot of skin, feeling the need to embrace her sensuality and match Jenna's naturally seductive personality. She thought that the bare back, long, and silky dress, which felt like a second skin on her slender figure, was perfect for a date like this. "I hope you're hungry," she said, holding her hand. "Isn't it the perfect time? The sunset, champagne, and only you and I; whoever thought of all this is brilliant," Cate said with an expression on her face that was a mix of excitement and nervousness. Her smile revealed she was hiding something, but she couldn’t wait to reveal more surprises for the rest of the night.

I found myself a-runnin' home to your sweet nothings.
That Friday afternoon, while Rosie was getting ready in front of the mirror, she didn't feel as usually, she was tired, she had the perception that the clothes wasn't fitting her and her hair was a mess, the last events with their kids, the sensation of tiredness because of the pregnancy and how her baby boy keep growing and causing some mood swings was taking a toll on her during the last days.
Some friends had planned this dinner since several weeks ago, and rosie didn't think she wouldn't feel much into the mood for it but being in the presence of a bunch of ladies talking about motherhood, the mess and the perks of being a mom, everything was too much for a sensitive Rosie. She wasn't in the mood and suddenly she missed herself before being just a mom for the eyes of most of her acquaintances. After texting Ed, the blonde just announced to a pair of her friends that she was leaving, she didn't bother in giving more explanations, she was not feeling herself and it was evident for her closer friends. The blonde walked out of the house, the chill wind hit her face and she appreciated the sensation of freedom even if it was cold outside, she walked out the porch, she get away from the house walking away from the space that was causing her claustrophobia. She texted Ed telling him that she would be a block or so away and sent him her location as she kept walking, her arms around herself because of the cold weather, her coat was not enough to keep herself warm. When she felt a car pulling just a few steps away from her, she turned around and smiled recognizing the car, one of his favorite ones. She waited for him to get out of it and reached out her arms to get into his arms, she didn't say a word, she just needed that. "hi, i escaped from that stupid party" she said with her teary eyes looking at him now "i was bored and so done" @westwick--ed
The new year was brimming with promises of change and the hope for only positive developments. The holiday season was traditionally a time for reflection and family, yet for Cate, it was also a period of relentless work. As the awards season approached, she found herself nominated for several awards, which was not a complain at all for the actress but a lot of extra work. That morning, Cate was expected at a luncheon hosted by the members of the Foreign Press Association, an event attended by both current nominees and past winners of the Golden Globes. Despite the festive spirit, she had to leave her children at the hotel, temporarily pausing their holiday cheer for the sake of professional engagements. These social events were not just about celebration but also about self-promotion, a strategic move in the competitive world of awards. Accompanied by her closest confidantes and her beauty team, Elizabeth and Mary, Cate prepared for the event. Her look was meticulously crafted: subtle makeup, her blonde hair styled in soft waves, and she wore a stunning white Balmain jumpsuit this piece was sleeveless with a deep V-neckline, accentuated by a large, ornate brooch that made a bold statement. Mary urged her to hurry, hinting at another celebrity client awaiting her services. When Cate inquired, Mary's reluctance to name names spoke volumes. "I know who it is," Cate remarked, her tone lacking its usual enthusiasm as she guessed it might be Jessica Chastain, another frequent client of Mary's. Their shared history was complex, having a tight bond over the years that becoming into something more intimate and with it, more complicated for several months leading an abrupt end. Although Cate made it look like everything was fine, something in that friendship seemed somehow broken.
Her arrival to the hotel where the reception was taking place, it was like watching a seasoned swimmer dive into familiar waters. She moved with a grace that belied the undercurrents of her emotions, engaging in light conversation, socializing, talking about her plans for the new year, her past holidays and of course rencountering with new and old friends and colleagues avoiding to all cost crossing looks with the red-haired that seemed so close but still too far from the australian actress, but cate couldn't avoid her forever, when a friend in common brought them together to take a photograph "Hello Jess, Nice to see you again, you look incredible" Cate said when they were left by themselves in the middle of the crowd, and when finally cate took a moment to really look at jessica, the australian with a drink in hand and no witnesses of what they have been hiding for weeks now about their complicated friendship. @jessicachastaain
