-> The king smiles softly and relaxes atop his small mountain of rocks. He's eternally grateful to you.

"Not really, no..." "And.... If you could. Could you tell both of them that I miss them? And that I wish I could be with them for the holidays..."

"....Please? I need to know how my boys are doin'."

"Would you...?" -> He opened his eyes. Oh... He had the same eyes as Star. "You'd check up on my boys for me?"

-> The ghost king sighs and closes his eyes. "I don't know. Last I heard Star was gettin' married and seems ta be safe. Dunno anythin' 'bout Ego. That boy worries me... Both those boys do."

"Oh my little boy loved me! And I loved 'im with my whole heart. Star's my baby, he'll always be my baby. Even if I'm dead and gone now, he'll always be my little bundle of stardust..." "And I watched those two boys grow up together... Precious, real damn precious. Him and Ego were basically inseparable." "Lemme tell you. I remember when I managed to get Ego a room of his own. Let the boy decorate it all up to how he liked, got 'im some clothing of his own and all that. There're times where I'd wake up, go to check on the boys and the two of 'em sleepin' together in the same bed." "Ego and Star had ta share a bed for a while. Guess they just got used to it before I could get Ego a bed."

"Thank you, child. One of the best gifts an old man like me can get!" -> He chuckles and leans back slightly, crossing one leg over the other. "My boy, Star, he's always had a big heart y'know? Big heart, big emotions, little body of his. I remember the day... Early mornin' too. I was just wakin' up when I heard some rustlin' in the living room." "I got dressed and went downstairs. Saw my boy sittin' in the living room, playing toys with another boy... I asked him "Star, who's this?" and he said "His name's Ego", little guy couldn't pronounce his whole name." "And then I asked "Star, why didja bring him into our house?" and in his little voice he said "I didn't like that he was alone and dirty outside". My heart squeezed. The poor otter was alone and dirty lookin'. And I told him "Kiddo, you shouldda said somethin' to me first". And of course my little boy apologized to me." "And then he asked, "Can we keep him?" as if the boy was some puppy he found on the streets. So I stood there for a moment. I wasn't prepared for a second child, but the look on both of their little faces... I said yes. So then I had two little boys to care for. And I loved every second of it."

"Just missing my little boys... I didn't just raise Star mind you. I had another little boy too. Quite funny how he came into my care really. If you wouldn't mind allowing this old ghost to regale you with that."
