I like to imagine that Wrecker was cognitively "normal" prior to getting that massive scar on the side of his head. That kind of wound would absolutely cause some level of brain damage. The fact he survived at all from such a massive injury, as such a direct head wound would've killed a reg, goes to show how strong he is not only physically but also mentally. I kind of find it frustrating how Wrecker was just the "dumb comic relief" in so many episodes, especially the episodes in the final season of TCW. They kind of fleshed him out as tbb went on, but i still think he deserved better.

Jango: What are you doing with the laundry?
