Once I saw a post of someone asking to tag posts about the skam france cast with #skam france cast so people that like to separate the actors and the characters can avoid those posts and now that Druck S3 is over I feel like I truly understand the importance of that.
For one, it takes away some of the magic. The illusion of the characters and the story being real, obviously everyone knows they aren't but it does make a difference. Skam has always focused on the realism of the show and if some people prefer to not learn about the cast and the making of that's understandable.
More importantly, especially in the case of Druck, 'stan culture' surrounding the actors can have such negative effects. You can be curious about the cast, you can support them all you want, but don't be excessive about it. Most of the cast is barely 18 years old, their social media are their private accounts, their followings reflect their personal interests, they haven't really been presenting themselves to the media in interviews or additional information on them, so please respect their privacy. Ask yourself where your boundaries should be. No need to go lengths get 'noticed'. No need to demand the artist to put out content. They can do whatever they want.
Just like the characters, the actors have grown on us and that's beautiful and they deserve the love and support, so don't ruin it by putting expectations on them they might not be able to fulfill. They're young, they're human, don't put them on a pedestal. No one will gain from that.
They're actors and it's their job to create something for the public to watch, outside their job they can live as much of a private life as they want. Their relationship to their co-workers can be a 100% professional one and that's fine, they're not obligated to be friends and it's none of our business. We're better off not knowing than having to watch the same thing that happened to Henrik and Tarjei happen to Lukas and Michelangelo.
