I think what makes flins such an interesting character (and especially an interesting yandere) is the way in which it's hard to pin point his exact intentions when it comes to the things he says and his actions. you cannot take everything he says at face value. at the same time, it would be extremely well advised for you to read between the lines. he's also naturally manipulative, but not necessarily maliciously, or even consciously, so.

flins often 'suddenly' appears behind you every time you so much as take a foot outside during the cover of night, offering to accompany you along to wherever your destination may lie. he always mentions how you 'ought not to be out so late,' especially not with the constant threat of the wild hunt ever looming, yet he never complains necessarily, at least not when he gets the pleasure of placing a guiding hand against the small of your back as he walks you to wherever you're headed. if you ask, he always says that the reason he was around to catch you in the first place was simply because he was on patrol in the area, although you're not really sure you believe that excuse.

speaking of his patrol, flins also likes to bring you back the things he finds on them, like your devoutful crow. there's all sorts of bits and bobbles to be found around nod krai, peculiar oddities left behind by the various walks of life who've trailed though region over the past few centuries. you never know just what history is lingering within the grains of sand. glassware, buttons, jewelry, diary entries, love notes, toys and trinkets— sadly, he himself does not have much use for them, but he takes pleasure in knowing that you find much joy in them. he likes observing your responses to the items, gauging which kinds of things you find yourself more interested in over others so that he knows what to search for next time he goes out.
