Dean

Dean sat on the stool, sipping his coffee before placing it on the floor next to him. Clearing his throat he held up the peace sign as he looked into the camera. “You’re watching Genius’s Verified with me, ya boy Dean.” he flashed his upper canine tooth before the camera cut to him singing his first verse in the song.

“A night hotter Than the July sun Like all weekends It’ll probably cool down But today, it’ll be different All the emotions I pushed back I’ll tell you today I hope We’ll be ok“

Running his hand behind his neck, he rubbed it sheepishly, shrugging his shoulders. “I’ve heard that in the summer time is when you start to feel alone the most? Well winter as well but in the summer it’s kind of like a determination? I don’t know but when you push your emotions down for someone so much that you can’t handle it, they’ll spill out and you can only hope for the best.”

“I pushed back the UMF tickets That I’ve been waiting for And I’m on my way to see you baby?

“When you really like someone...you’re willing to push everything aside for the moment just to be next to them. So I used the example of UMF tickets. It’s a festival everyone wants to go to and if you miss it because of someone that needs you, that means a lot and holds a tremendous amount of weight.” He shrugs, giving a tiny smirk. “Basically, no matter what, you’ll be there for that  person.”

“I put on some cologne I put on my expensive Jordans Then I get a call from you “I don’t think I can go out today”

Grabbing onto his necklace he began to play with it a bit, laughing to himself. “I wrote this part...well a majority of my verses drunk so..it was my true feelings I guess you could say?” He chuckles some more. “Yes, this is all personal experiences but I’m not gonna name any names but it’s basically getting a last minute call from the person you’re about to go on a date with and they say they can’t go. Now for reasons unknown, people have many reasons to do that but I think the person was scared of what to expect so they freaked and backed out.”
