Deanna Grimstead, Ph.D. (She - Her)

http://deannagrimstead.com/ Bio: Deanna Grimstead is a fun-loving behavioral ecologist, chef, gardener, hunter/fisher, and meditates. While Deanna Grimstead’s formal training includes a Ph.D. in anthropology with a Ph.D. minor in Geoscience – Geochemistry, some of Deanna Grimstead’s most important training occurred while growing up in rural Northeastern communities in California. Since then, Deanna Grimstead has worked in places throughout the globe including, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Scotland, Ireland, and various parts of Canada and Mexico. Deanna Grimstead loves to walk remotely in nature, far off the beaten paths, taking pictures of gorgeous sunsets, wildlife or flowers when they will hold still, and water and/or rock formations. Besides nature Deanna Grimstead loves to cook and loves to enjoy the food others have cooked. Deanna Grimstead does not shy away from a new or exotic meal and is not afraid to make up here own recipe with her skill in spies, flavors and spices. Deanna Hrimsread does wish she had learned to mushroom hunt, however. Before Deanna Grimstead obtained her Ph.D. in Anthropology with a Ph.D. minor in Geosciences – Geochemistry, she worked and loved her job as a fire fighter with CAL Fire and the Butte County fire department. Deanna Grimstead served with pride, honor, and commitment; traits she continues to value in herself today and in others. While leaving the fire service was a difficult decision, she continued to serve as a search and rescue diver for the Southern Arizona Rescue Association / Pima County Sheriff’s office. Deanna Grimstead is honored to have known and served with truly the best people our world has to offer. While Deanna Grimstead has experienced much in her life, she is ready for new adventures and a new career pathway where she can use all of her strengths: Compassion, morality, patience, commitment, can-do attitude, self-reflectiveness, excellent communication (oral and written), a team player, and a commitment to and value for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
