So obviously there’s a ton of theories going around about today’s crazy episode. I’ve been thinking it’s possible that Luluka basically set up this whole situation with the Phantom Thieves and Usonoir because of what she knew was going to happen, like she needed help stopping Eclair. And I realized something that I haven’t seen pointed out yet…

One of the “mistakes” Luluka pointed out in the last scene was that Usonoir misinterpreted the Tome of Mirages. Which assumes that she knows what its riddles actually mean. Look at the rune-ish writings here. Look familiar?

Alright guys… updated release date of August 28th. I am giving them grace because I wonder if they’re burning out the animators working on this, or if there other production issues that are hard to overcome, but…

Okay yeah Mikuru is Anna’s mom

Kyuubey’s VA as Pochitan…. Pochitan saying “you have to come with me” or something to a potential magical girl… Anna make a contract with me….

In the title card, I love how they have the girls in their civilian forms and their shadows are their Cure forms

Poor Anna was gonna get a smartphone for her birthday and then in 1999 there’s a shot advertising the new, physical-button phone (idk what you call it, forgive me). That is diabolical 💀

So if pochitan was able to talk in 2027, and in 1999 she’s a baby… does that mean pochitan at least 28 years old? Is that little bear thing a fully grown adult?

It’s cool how they show the names of the minor characters onscreen (even if I can’t read it. Because Crunchyroll won’t translate it 🤨).

That transformation was beautiful!!! I love how they used the hours of the clock to progress the transformation!! And it was so well animated! Genuinely a couple of the most beautiful transformations.

And I actually liked the mystery aspect of it! Even if it’s for kids, I couldn’t deduce the answer before they did, so I’m counting that as a win haha. Promising season! PLEASE DONT FLOP AND FALL INTO FILLERS AND POORLY DISGUISED ADVERTISEMENTS AFTER 10 EPISODES

Arcana Shadow is my favorite already oops. She has quite a bit of purple but it’s beautiful and not so much that it overtakes the black. Although I do wish her rod was black. I love that we’re getting more quiet girls, and she’s actually a double agent? As in she’s working as a Cure AND with the villains??? Oooh….

Interesting that Arcana Shadow is being revealed but not Eclair. So is Eclair meant to be the fourth Cure instead of AS (how I’m abbreviating Arcana Shadow now bc too long lol)? Unless Eclair joins and then AS fully joins the Cures after her.

Mikuru feels like she should’ve been the main girl tbh. Like we follow her as she opens her junior detective agency and the first thing she has to solve is why there’s a girl from almost 30 years in the future in her town. I mean I assume that’s the first episodes plot but like. Idk. I understand making the girl who literally traveled back in time the main character, but for the detective season, I’d think the actual aspiring detective would be the main one. Let’s see where they go with this.

Anna does look a lot like Iroha lol but her civilian form is so cute 🥹

Ironically, Pochitan gives me a nostalgic vibe. Like she’s the kind of character I would’ve wanted merch of if I watched this as a kid. Her color scheme kinda reminds me of Hello Kitty stuff I had, oddly enough. AND HER ITTY BITTY TIE

Interested to see if the gemstones will be more than part of the “gotta catch ‘em all” gimmick to sell toys, especially since each girl has a specific one on her outfit. If it is then I suspect we’ll never get a true gemstone-themed season.

The book that Anna holds in one of the promotional images does only have those four gems on the back, but…. maybe it could be five in the future? If it’s just these four I’ll be fine with that. I do love this color scheme.

Not surprised the villains are phantom thieves. Taking us back to the Bundoru Gang lol.

I was at first confused why Anna was gonna be from 2027 and not 2026, but I figure it’s because the series will end in 2027 when she has to go back to her time.
