Ranking the Doctors by Scottishness
So I was reading @time-and-spaceâs fabulous post ranking the Doctorâs by their gayness and I wanted to join in! I may discuss their gayness at some point but what hasnât been discussed is Scottishness.
As the winner is pretty obvious I will be going from most to least Scottish
1st Place: Twelfth Doctor
Played by a Scottish actor
Thinks Scottish accents are normal, as he should
Also his showrunner was Scottish
Talks about being Scottish
Has the right amount of disdain towards the English
2nd Place: Seventh Doctor
Also played by a Scottish actor
Plays the spoons⌠I dunno it counts!
Not quite as Scottish as Twelve
I dunno why but he gives me Scottish vibes???
Does a pretty good Scottish accent ;P
Hangs out with Jack who also has Scottish vibes
4th Place: Eleventh Doctor
His showrunner was Scottish
Has a companion who is Scottish AND ginger
Wore a fez like Seven did which makes him more Scottish because I say so
Also has a Scottish lizard friend
His boyfriend is Scottish and wears a kilt
He fucks with the English after the Battle of Culloden
He helps the McLarens so props to him
Plays the recorder even when no-one wants him to
Would like to play the bagpipes
Only lower than Eleven because Jamie wasnât ginger
The Brig wears a kilt to impress him (yes he did)
Ditches his scarf to don some Scottish attire
Likes to wear scarves which also makes him more Scottish
Joint 7th Place: Ninth and Thirteenth Doctors
Both northern which isnât Scottish but is closer
Both donât give af about English authority
Both hang out with Jack who has Scottish vibes
I guess a Scot tried to kill Thirteen but he was also the King of England so whatever
Doesnât care what you think of his fashion sense, especially not the English
Also had an adventure with his Scottish boyfriend
Is very pretentious with his words which knocks him down
I dunno the beard is pretty Scottish right?
Not sure, not as Scottish as the above but not as English as the below
10th Place: Eighth Doctor
Will give him some props as his actor has a Scottish surname
But⌠he is very English, yes I know I already said this but he is!
Overstays his welcome on Cassâs ship which kills him
Plays cricket, very English
His boyfriend is ginger tho
Everything goes wrong for him :( Bloody English
Is blond, dunno why but that doesnât feel very Scottish
Is rather aristocratic seeming
Liz is ginger but she leaves after a season soâŚ
Yeah I know he hangs out the Brig but he always thinks he knows whatâs best⌠very English
Uses John Smith as a pseudonym which gives him an edge over the bottom pick as that was Jamie who first suggested that

Basically he is an arrogant Englishman who must be taught to be a better person
