A hidden cypher of the next Mass Effect game has been decoded by fans and links to a page featuring Krogan in battle, presumably after the events of the trilogy:

The next Mass Effect continues in development, reiterates Executive Producer Mike Gamble:

Part 2 - Year 2211 CE

Beginning at 2198 CE, the series concludes in 2211 CE when the Milky Way galaxy is at war against hostile extragalactic alien forces. For the first time since the Reaper invasion in 2186 CE, peace is facing annihilation.

With their backs against the wall, the galaxy once again turns to the Shepard family for help.

John Shepard (57): A stoic and commanding leader with a reputation for integrity, diplomacy, and strategic brilliance who served as the fourth First Minister of the Interstellar Republic from 2198 to 2208. Shepard's extraordinary career in the Systems Alliance military set the foundation for the Shepard family’s legendary reputation: rising from an orphan living a life on the streets of crime and petty underworld gangs to an elite N7 Special Forces operative, Shepard would become the first human Spectre, earning the trust of the Citadel Council and uniting the galaxy’s species against threats like Saren Arterius, the Collectors, and the Reapers. His heroic exploits have earned him the unwavering respect of soldiers, citizens, and politicians across the galaxy. Despite retiring from politics after serving two terms, his counsel is still sought by key leaders.

Ashley Williams (54): Then a gunnery chief in the Alliance military's 2nd Frontier Division, Ashley became Shepard’s most trusted ally aboard both the Normandy SR-1 and SR-2 as well as the love of his life during the Eden Prime War in 2183 CE. Together, they fought side by side through the Reaper War of 2186 CE, securing the galaxy’s survival. After the war, Shepard became a pivotal figure in the fledgling the Interstellar Republic, an evolved galactic coalition designed to replace the Citadel Council, which was heavily weakened by the Reaper invasion. As First Lady, she was known for championing veterans' rights, military family support programs, and galaxy-wide educational initiatives for war orphans. Now a general, Ashley was appointed commander of the Interstellar Republic Special Operations Force's 2nd Marine Reconnaissance Division.

Kaidan Shepard (24): The eldest Shepard child, Kaidan, was drawn to the intelligence community rather than the military. His academic excellence earned him scholarships to Oxford where he graduated early with dual degrees in psychology and statistics before joining Alliance Intelligence, where his skill in high-risk covert operations quickly earned him a reputation as one of AIS’s top agents. Kaidan’s most notable missions include disrupting batarian slaver networks and assassinating high-ranking operatives of the Revolutionary Order of Khar’shan.

David Shepard (21): David, the second child, rejected the rigid structure of military life in favor of creative expression. Known for his comedic timing and clever pranks as a child, he grew into a talented storyteller who captures public attention through holovid productions and live performances. His fame in the entertainment industry often places him in the spotlight, but he handles it with charm.

Ethan Shepard (18): The third Shepard child, Ethan, mirrors David’s humor but has a more laid-back, introspective personality. As a university student, he balances academics with budding comedic performances on the Citadel.

Due to the Crucible's detonation, John Shepard suffered severe injuries throughout his body: the explosion blew off his left arm and rendered many of his cybernetic implants created from the Lazarus Project inert; as a result, he was in excruciating pain, along with other chronic effects before falling into a coma. C-Sec teams recovered the bodies of Admiral Anderson and Shepard. He remained unconscious before waking up to a galaxy without Reapers, where he would be interred in the hospital to receive intense medical and psychological treatment.
