My Mass Effect Triptych is finally complete :)
My Shepard over the years.
I never finished this, it was supposed to be a little animatic with 'goodbye yellow brick road', of all things
Timeline of my Shepard's life 👇

I’ve been replaying mass effect, and it really struck me how much I missed the characters.

Happy N7 Day!!
l quickly drew my own Shepard for this day
I decided to replay the Mass Effect series, and Mermay just happened to start right then... So I decided not to drag my feet (or should I say, drag my mermaid tail) and just sit down to draw something for the hype!
It’s been so long since I’ve drawn something with this much ease and without that toxic "everything must be perfect" mindset. Creating multiple construction layers, rendering every tiny detail of armor (this is exactly why I used to avoid drawing anything space-related, armored, or sci-fi in general). All of that used to hold me back so much and made me feel so discouraged... But I’ve started teaching myself to just not care and just create. And gosh, it feels so good! I managed to get the idea out of my head and put it on canvas, plus: I actually played around with the pose and body twisting, set up some cool lighting and shading, and didn’t even cry during the coloring process! And what’s even more huge for me — I actually did a background. I swear, backgrounds used to be a total nightmare for me.
But now I’m genuinely vibing. Sure, the proportions, anatomy, and lighting aren't perfect, but I'm totally fine with it. I'm just enjoying the process and the fact that I finished this piece in a single day, instead of dragging it out for days like I used to. Plus, I can freely experiment with new techniques and look for my own art style. Honestly, it just feels amazing!
