Sorry but I will no longer get mad at female celebrities unless they’ve done something that I know for sure would get a man in an equal amount of trouble. Popular culture is nothing less than the public arena for female humiliation and I’m not participating anymore.

i'll never understand some of the critiques tloas gets like why do some people want her to make the same music again and again? why do we need 3-4 folklore and evermore album? i know these albums are very liked by fans (not by me that much) but like they are soo similar in terms of sounds. why are people so hell bent on comparing ttpd and tloas? like these are very different albums made when she was in very different headspaces writing about different points in her life. why would tloas sound like ttpd or be written like one? she was miserable in ttpd and she wanted to write 2 years of misery out of her system, she was in a happy, settled relationship in tloas. now people are gonna say she has been in happy relationship before and she made a better album (reputation, which is not better than tloas idc what y'all say), and i'm like people have different opinions on art why do y'all want to convince everyone that tloas is a bad album i'll never get. also comparing joe and travis love songs saying why they can't be like the ones on rep and lover and i'm like CAUSE THEY ARE ABOUT DIFFERERNT RELATIONSHIPS WHICH MADE HER FEEL SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT THINGS. why would they sound alike? also everyone who used to bash ttpd when it came out now praising it to shit on tloas know that i see you y'all will change your mind on tloas but i'll be there to remind how y'all treated this perfect album

It's so funny to me that Mary Shelley, her husband, John Polidori, and Lord Byron had a competition to see who could write the best horror story and she wrote fucking Frankenstein. Imagine losing a competition that badly. Imagine just doing a silly little competition with your friend and she basically invents a new genre and creates one of the most famous characters in fiction. Imagine being proud of your little story and then she shares one that people will still read every day in 200 years. Imagine doing a writing competition with your wife and she becomes so recognizable that you'll always be known as Mary Shelley's husband
